Target 50% off Valentine’s Day Clearance Finds

My Haul

I mentioned yesterday that I was headed to Target to check out the Valentine’s Clearance and that I did. It was all 50% off (as expected) so I only bought a few things. But I did take a few pictures of things to keep an eye out for.

Bakeware:

I wouldn’t mind replacing ALL of my cookie sheets, so I am totally going on a hunt for these Nordic Ware baking sheets. I picked one up yesterday for $4.99 (reg. $9.99), but if I could snag a bunch at $0.99, I’d be so happy.  All these things, the Nordic Ware cupcake pans, the Nordic Ware heart pancake pan, etc. were on an end cap in the cookware area.  NOT in the Valentine’s section.  And the tag in my store was hidden, so no one was even looking.  Anything you see with these types of labels, should rig up on clearance.  There were a few more Wilton pieces I saw (heart shaped cookie tins, mini bundt pan tins, etc.).

Toys / Snacks:

I didn’t see a ton of hidden Valentine’s clearance toys, but I did see a few things. I am for sure going to keep my eyes open for those Disney Lip Smackers kits when things get marked down further.  And as usual, there were Disney dolls, mini Barbies, Play-Doh, etc.  Ohh, and be on the look out for the Frito-Lay snack packs. The bags look just like the regular ones except they have a heart on the front.

Misc:

These are just a few of the standard Valentine’s clearance items. None of them (with the exception of the crayons) were actually in the clearance area, but it was obviously they were Valentine’s. I included the picture of the crayons (and the bouncy balls in the first picture) so you can see what type of packaging you are looking out for. ANYTHING with that packaging will be included in the clearance.

Not clearance vs. clearance

The box on the left?  Not part of the clearance.  The box on the right?  Part of the clearance.  I am certain the other people in this aisle thought I was a total case for taking these in the store, but whatever.  Other than the characters in the package, there is no difference between these two items.  I am almost 100% certain you will find all these mixed together in the regular aisle if you go to your local Target.  Mine were ALL mixed up.  Just remember, the square box on the right is the clearance.  The box on the left that’s kinda curved with a label on the side?  Not on clearance.

Other than the baking sheert, I wasn’t overly excited about what I found this year.  Books and pajamas aren’t included in the clearance anymore ;( and DVD’s haven’t been for ages, which makes me sad.  Don’t get me wrong, it’ll be ON when it’s 90% off, but for 50% off, I took it easy.  Did you pick up anything?  What’d you get?  And in case you want to know what I think, I am guessing 70% off will start tomorrow.  Totally a guess.  I have no inside information. UPDATE: Clearly I have no inside information! I went earlier and it was 70% off already. Everything was still marked 50%, but scanned 70%! Get shopping!

Great post! Think I need to head to Target tomorrow to see if I can snag any deals!

Ugg…you had so much at your target. I looked everywhere because I know how they mix everything together and I still barely snagged anything.

Hmm maybe my boys and I need to make a Target run tomorrow. We do need to be over near one of them so we might have to just stop in. 🙂 I would love some new cookie sheets too mine are getting kindof nasty.

I absolutely love your blog! I started reading it when I would try to find spoilers about the popsugar boxes, but now I check it regularly. I love how you do the after holiday clearance shopping. I tried to do a little last night and found a few things. But where do you find the playdough packs? I live in Tennessee, so they may not even offer them around here. Just curious. My little boy absolutely loves it!

My Target was 70% of too even though it was only marked 50% off… Candy was still 50% off! What I have noticed at the Targets in my area is that everything that is seasonal gets carted into the clearance area which makes it really hard to find any hidden clearance items. During Christmas, I did find secret clearance men’s PJs and loofahs! It was so exciting… I did get a lot if weird looks though!

Huh. Looks like I’m headed out to Target. Again.

I’m so sad, our Target had next to nothing. Well, almost, they did have a wreath for the door I liked so I’m going to check back in on it later in the week. It’s always cleaned out SO fast.

I got the LOVE pan but sadly the heart shaped pancake pan is still regular price! I’m ready for 90% off now, I’m getting antsy haha

  9. Lis

Ahhh! I saw the 50% signs and just kept moving this morning! I am totally going back tomorrow! You snagged such great finds!!

As always, love your Target related posts. Will head to my Target tomorrow (where I am sure all the other ladies reading this will arrive at opening time and clean out all the items you put up!)

As always, scan. The post about the Sesame street boxes are not true to all stores. I am in St. Louis and bought several of each style box and the were the clearance price and they were all 70 percent off. Also, check out the regular play-doh aisle for the Valentine’s bags. I found some hidden there and snatched them up. Someone is going to be unhappy when they go back to purchase them during the 90 percent sale. Oh, well, thats what happens when others know the secrets to scoring great deals!
