Prospurly packages their items very well. Lots of packing material in these boxes. I try to reuse boxes and packing materials as much as I can, so if you ever win a giveaway from me don’t be surprise if you see some familiar packaging!

The Information Card

The August 2015 Prospurly theme was “An Al Fresco Getaway” an included the following items:

~Sagestruck Farms Speciality Trio (1.5fl oz / 44mL Each) ($9.25): This trio includes the following Herbal Vinegar Infusions: Strawberry Anise in White Balsamic, Italian in Balsamic and Herbs of Provence in Olive Oil. The information card sets the value of these at $15.95 (and adds on $3.50 for the included recipe and coupon), but since all of the trios are listed on the website for $9.25, that’s the price I used. I didn’t assign any value to the recipe or coupon. B will happily use these in the kitchen and I am hoping that we get some amazing bread to use for dipping.

~Goldfinch Rosemary Caramels (1.8oz) ($4.95): I don’t think I like rosemary caramels. Perhaps they are an acquired taste? I guess I just expect caramel and / or sea salt when I bite into a caramel – not a floral taste.

~Coco Beza Handmade Lotion Bar (Rosemary Mint) ($8): I love lotion bars. I was first introduced to them a few years back and I think they are genius. This one is handmade and seems to be more moisturizing than many other creams I have tried.  The warmer your hands, skin are, the easier this spreads.

~Baja Soaps Rosemary Shampoo Bar (5.8oz) ($7.95): Prospurly is on a Rosemary kick this month huh? I thought this was just regular soap, but it turns out it’s a shampoo bar! You could use it as regular body soap as well though.  I also love shampoo bars and will have to make a note on this tag so I don’t forget.

~Touch of Earth Tonifying Hair & Beauty Cream (2oz) ($25): I can’t find this exact item on the Touch of Earth etsy site, so I just used the price from the information card. The price seems high to me, but I could be wrong.  This cream works as a daily moisturizer or  you can use it to spot treat dandruff, eczema, dermatitis, redness or psoriasis.  It’s pretty thick – thicker than say vaseline and I have been using it on my elbows and heels.

~Metal & Cork Stag & Squirrel Wine Stoppers ($15): Love these!  They were made just for Prospurly and I think they are adorable. I already have them in the kitchen!

All totaled I came up with a value of $70.15 for the August 2015 Prospurly.  I liked this box well enough, but I wish it wouldn’t have been so rosemary heavy.  If that’s not a scent you enjoy or can at least tolerate this box was probably a miss for you.  Also, I always like to double check the prices on the Prospurly information cards because I have noticed their prices are often higher than the ones I calculate.  I don’t know if they include shipping in their costs (I do not), but I just wanted to note it.
