Little Lace Box has released their first clue for the August “Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy” themed box!
The clue is “That caviar is a garnish!” and “…despite appearances, I like you, very much”.
I believe “That caviar is a garnish!” is a line from You’ve Got Mail (which some refer to as a modern version of Pride and Prejudice) and “…despite appearances, I like you, very much” is a line from Bridget Jones’s Diary spoken by the character Mr. Mark Darcy.
Now, what this translates to spoiler wise? Â I am not sure. Â If you have any ideas I’d love to hear!

“That caviar is a garnish!” says to me…something small or in small dosage. Something made of mother of pearl, as caviar spoons are typically made of. Maybe a piece of jewelry. “…despite appearances, I like you, very much” makes me think of Bridget Jones sense of style, so I would say a comfortable piece of clothing…a pj or pj related…slippers maybe? 🙂
Since they’re both adaptations, I’m guessing well receive an adaptation in either movie or book form or both.
How about a journal or writing paper…Ernest Hemingway remark about writing, then the Bridget Jones Diary connection? Maybe a pen to go with it…as a garnish? its fun trying to figure it out!
I think “You’ve Got Mail” = notecards or some mail related item. And Bridget Jones’ Diary = Journal or Diary. I’m taking the clues very literally!

For the caviar clue…my first guess was some Alterna product (since they use caviar extract in a lot of their stuff.) For the other clue, I love the thought of a pretty journal or planner!
Remember they said they would also give some false clues to through us off…
