~This week is flying by! I can’t even believe it’s already Thursday! Β I think I have spent most of my week organizing / thinking about legos! Β L is loving the new set-up in the playroom and has spent hours playing out there this week in his new space. Β It’s awesome. Β I think it’s going to work nice for homework too. Β B got the shelves we picked up at IKEA hung and the little lego guys fit perfect on there. Β I just need to go back and get one more shelf and more little jar containers and I think we’ll be set!
~I don’t think I have too many moreΒ subscription boxes coming this week, but I know for sure I am waiting on Lip Factory, Five Four ClubΒ andΒ Hammock Pack! Β And my order of Β Crispy Cakes from QVC is coming today as well! Β Oh, and it’s possible that the mystery shipment in UPS is my Haute Look beauty bag, but that seems super fast so who knows what that is? Β I’ll find out in a few hours!
~You all know about my fascination with all these different Oreo cookie flavors right? Β Well, there’s a new one out. Β It’s Root Beer Float ones. Β Who thinks of these flavors? Β I want to be on the Oreo cookie flavor board!
~OMG I posted a picture of my Nicky Hilton Fancy Box on Instagram and tagged Nicky Hilton and Fancy Box. Β And OMG wouldn’t you know it, but Nicky Hilton not only liked it, she commented on it. Β Pretty sure this means we are BFF’s now!
~The new snack system is officially a hit. Β If you missed it I have a bin in the refrigerator door and one in the pantry filled with snacks for the boys. Β If it’s in the bin, you can have it for a snack. Β So simple, yet it took me forever to actually do. Β L is all over it and WB does whatever L does, so it’s perfect!
~Speaking of WB, he’s getting adjusted nicely to his big boy bed. Β The first few mornings he got up early (like 7:30am which is basically the middle of the night for him), but he’s back to his normal schedule now and I even had to wake him up at 9:45am yesterday because he was still out. Β Last night he made B put his elmo blanket in his crib because that’s for “babies”. Β Big boys use duvets I guess? Β LOL!
~I painted my fingernails for the first time in ages yesterday (you should be able to see it in my Instagram sidebar) and I am always forget how fancy it makes me feel to have my nails painted. Β Why is this? Β I even type different with painted nails which is so odd. Β I swear it’s the most inexpensive way to make you feel like a million bucks.
~My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale order is still in progress, but so far I know I am getting the Rosanna “Alphabet Studio Mug”, the Kate Spade “le pavilion” iPhone case, a Superhero Junk Food tee for L and new Keen’s for both boys. And then the dilemma comes in. Β I love the Tory Burch Eloise Riding Boots and the Tory Burch 59mm Polarized sunglasses, but I am not sure which one to get. Β I like the sunglasses more and would probably wear them a ton more, but I “need” nice tall black boots. Β Which should I get?

I had to do the snack thing when the kidlets were in school but each had their own box with their names on it, even Hubby did! I would hate to hear “T ate all the dunkaroos” or “Se ate all the oreos”. It drove me nuts and because T was allergic to walnuts I had to be mindful of what we bought for him. So dunkaroos were split 3 in each box, etc so no fighting.
I like the idea of the box in the fridge too!
I am cracking up. I love that idea of the two different bins with names on it! I can totally see us having to do that in a few years!
Um, I think I may hate you… Because your kids sleep! UNTIL 10 AM??? I am SO incredibly jealous! π I think you should go with the TB Sunglasses! Love them!
LMFAO. I know. It’s not fair. Well, WB sleeps late and L sometimes will and sometimes won’t. But he’s old enough to get up on his own and he comes and sees me if I am still sleeping and tells me he’s going downstairs!
Love it that Nicky Hilton responded. T-Pain tweeted twice on the first box I did for him. It’s amazing to get their feedback.

Wow on Nicky Hilton commenting. It’s wonderful she is invested in her projects. I tried a bunch of boxes over the past few months and need to decide what to keep. I do like her box and am thinking of continuing with it.
I need to go to Ikea. My 5 year old is impressed with the Lego setup. Did you say before you bought mini figure stands. Can you do a post about what you bought at Ikea to set up your playroom? We bought more Reeses Oreos last night. Never found Limeade and did not see Root Beer Float. I do live in a boring area.
Personally I would pick the boots over the sunglasses because it seems a lot of boxes have sunglasses. I like the boots better. Good selection of items.
Beauty DNA is coming today (definately keeping that box). Wantable Intimates is somewhere between KY and PA. Escape Monthly stated my Luxe box should arrive by the end of the week, but still no tracking.
I think I mentioned it somewhere, but the long table in the playroom is actually 4 separate STUVA benches and two of them have the optional drawer piece. The shelves are RIBBA shelves.
Those boots! You have to get the boots.

Regarding the Tory Burch items… I really like both, so why not get both?

I’d get the sunglasses over the boots, but sunglasses are way more practical in AZ than tall boots.
Nicky Hilton seems way more.. grounded than her sister. I preferred her on the Simple Life even though it was her sister’s show. William Shatner responded to me once on reddit and I nearly died.
I haven’t even looked at Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale yet. I’ve been busy dealing with wall paper removal at my new house. It’s torture. It’s not just sheets of wall paper nicely put on, it’s more like paper machier. Tiles of maybe 18″ x 18″ slapped together and creating an ugly texture. Fortunately, it’s only on one wall, but that wall is 19′ x 8′ so it’s still huge. I’ve been at it on and off for 2 days and maybe have 20% removed. My sister-in-law has offered to come help me today (after I’m done watching my sister’s kids in an hour or so) but she’s super pregnant and I don’t know if it’s a good idea for her to be doing that. Especially since there’s a chance there’s lead paint on that wall since it was built prior to 1978. I’ll probably get a lead kit today and test it.. because it’s probably not very safe for even me to do it if there’s lead paint! If there is lead paint, I’ll probably get a pro to come out. I already painted the smaller bedroom and that is fun but the wall paper removal is seriously harshing my mellow.
I always feel fancy when I paint my nails too. And I type weird the day they’re painted, even long after they’re fully dried.
Lastly, I peeped your instagram. I kind of want those lego figure shelves for my nail polish. I wonder if it’d be big enough. Do they have a lip so nail polish could stay there?
There is a lip on the shelf so it’d work great for polish!
I feel you on the wallpaper. My old condo had it. Like layers and layers of it. Why people didn’t remove it and instead papered over it I’ll never know.
Loved seeing Nicky’s response yesterday! I need to cut down on other boxes and sign up for that one! I loved her choices. The Oreo choices are insane, I have that issue with Kisses. Target is always my go to place for the latest flavors.
I had the UPS mystery box pop up yesterday too. Should be arriving Monday since I’m so far south. It’s shipping from Axiz Group…I think it’s Hautelook too. Though Hautelook hasn’t sent email or updated tracking status.

You’ve had a much more productive week than I did. It’s going to be time to move Ava out of the crib, but I’m dreading it because I feel like she will spend half the night getting out of bed because she can.
And, I love those snack boxes. They’ve been on my to do list forever, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I need to get that done before preschool starts up again.
Once he falls asleep it’s fine. But he does like to get up and run around!

I reallyyyy like your set-up in the playroom and I told my husband I want something similar, my kid is a big lego fan but we are running out of space for the things he build (a lot of different series), I have shells for those but there is no more space and when he wants to play with them is an issue, I think you idea is pretty good, because there is space for playing big scenarios too π
I am trying to resist the Nordstrom sale, I have added the same iPhone case like 5 times hehehe, but I know I have to be strong and resist π

Love your blog! It feels a lot more human than other box blogs, and I like the extra articles and pieces you write/suggest! I visit fairly often, and it’s definitely my favorite way to procrastinate rather than do work or school. Wish you hadn’t mentioned the Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, it was too tempting not to check out and I’m supposed to be studying! (Life’s tough being a girl, lol) Both Tory Burch items are great, but it seems harder to find a good pair of tall black riding boots and those look amazing! And, thanks for providing a great read!

I THINK YOU NEED BOTH!!! The boots are just too good of a deal to pass up, plus u need a good pair of black boots and these will last forever (if i had skinnier legs I’d be all over them, but I have an amazing pair of lucky), and if you always wear sunglasses, you know you’ll get your moneys worth!
I feel like I need both too. Now that you mention it I don’t think they’d even for my calves. It could be back to the drawing board.
