Fancy Mystery Box

Fancy offered FREE shipping one day last week on Mystery Boxes and you know I had to take advantage of it. Â I opted for a Women’s Medium Box for $20 partly because the Small ones weren’t available and partly because I usually get the Large ones and wanted to try something different.
If you aren’t familiar with Fancy, they offer a regular monthly Fancy Box full of cool goodies or celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, Coco Rocha and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites). In addition, Fancy is now offering Mystery Boxes in three sizes – Small ($10), Medium ($20) and Large ($40), and either Men or Women.
Unlike every other Fancy Box (Mystery or otherwise) I have received, this box shipped via FedEx Smart Post (as oppose to regular FedEx Home) and took a week to arrive. Â I am guessing that it was because shipping was free they opted to use a cheaper method.
My first look was just kind of there. Â There was nothing to dig into or wrap which might be why I was just meh about it. Â Since it was a mystery box it also didn’t contain an information card, but I was easily able to identify everything in the box:
~LAEX Fancy Cardholder ($30): Â I think this is my third cardholder like this. Â I have used one, but this one and the other one can hang out together until I figure out what to do with them.
~Bamboo Paper Straws ($8): Oddly I have always wanted these. Â Well, not since I was a little girl or anything. Â Just since I saw them in a Fancy Box. Â The boys will get a kick out of them and think they are drinking out of trees.
~Text Messages Sticky Notes ($7): Ha! Â I can always use more sticky notes and if I can get B to text me back on these, even better ;).
~Japonesque Eyelash Curler ($14): I will probably end up trading or gifting this since I already have one. Â It’s kind of neat though because it’s designed for specific lashes you just can’t get curled. Â You know it always happens! Â It does to me at least!
All totaled I came up with a value of $59 for this Women’s Fancy Mystery Box! Â The box was $20 (shipping was free), so even if I take out the card holder it’s still a $29 value. Not a crazy amazing box, but not awful either.

Yes the first thing you posted, that clear like credit card wallet.. I thought it would be PERFECT for the pool to store money in for snacks and stuff when the bag gets completely soaked and full of sand 🙂

Your NG Muito Cool hat do you think i’ll fit a 4 year old? Just want to know before I swap for it because it goes great with a lot of the boys bright clothes. If you visit my blog every picture my little ones are in bright clothes.

This was my first fancy box, and I was pretty disappointed with it. I received the same one you did. My favorite item was also the bamboo straws. I’ll use the post-its and try my best to trade the card case and eyelash curler. The men’s medium box was better though. It contained a mason jar shaker, sunglasses, sasquatch soap, and hot dog slicer.
That men’s one sounds good!

I got my money worth. So that was a perk. The sunglasses are nice but I have so many. My sister liked them so they might end up being hers.
The shark necklace my son likes. And I think it is kinda neat.
Never used nail wraps before. =\
And have not tried the lip balm.
All in all I guess I am content. =]

I got both medium boxes. In the women’s box I received the shark tooth necklace (which made it worth it!), Fancy Wayfarers, a lip balm, and some nail wraps. The men’s was The Mason shaker, AJ Morgan sunglasses, hot dog slicers, and a soap. They were my first boxes so no repeats, but I would have been seriously disappointed with your box, except the post its. I guess I lucked out!
I like the men’s one you got, but I think all of the women’s ones would have been repeats for me.
I got the large mystery box this afternoon, and it was a bit disappointing. I should have gone for the medium box. I really like those bamboo straws, the post it notes (which I’d also use as masks for card making), and the eyelash curler.
I got the Wayfarer sunglasses which are gorgeous, but I can’t wear them, a white cup with a shark figure on the inside of it, an earphone splitter (that one will actually come in handy on flights, but that’s still means we’ll only use it maybe twice a year), a cuff bracelet, and the Kinfolk book.
Not amazing. I wonder what their warehouse looks like. Lots of straws and scale and sunglasses I bet.
I ordered a medium men’s box AND a medium women’s box. Free shipping! So it was the perfect time to try them.
The women’s box was just okay. It included:
– The Fancy tortoise sunglasses. They are a fun style that I don’t have. Perfect for the lake!
– Sophie Sparrow shark-tooth necklace. Not sure on this one. It’s fun and different. I’ll have to figure out what to wear with it.
– NCLA nail wraps in What Filter Should I Use. I have never tried any nail wraps. It’s on my list of things to do. This print seems fun for the summer.
– Bib & Tuck chapstick. I will find a home for this one.
I was not wowed, but I think $20 with free shipping was a good deal for this one. Not sure if I would get another one without free shipping though. However, the men’s box was great! I got:
– Mason jar cocktail shaker. Super fun! I am sending this to my son, since he will like it and probably use it.
– Sasquatch soap. Smells great! I will also send this to my son since he’ll get a kick out of the name. He loves those silly big-foot hunting shows.
– Wall Decal – “Work Hard Stay Humble”. I will give this to my brother. He owns his own business and that is how he rolls. 🙂
– Cuppow- turn your canning jar into a travel mug. Clever! Another gift for a friend who will love this.
– Quirky Hotdog slicers. My husband liked these and thought they’d be fun to keep around when we are grilling hotdogs with kids.
I thought the men’s box was a great deal! And overall, it was fun to just be surprised.
I think the men’s box you got was fabulous! I would have gotten a men’s one!
