March 2014 Bespoke Post – Shelter

I feel like we just got a Bespoke Post box, but I am certainly not complaining that our March 2014 Bespoke Post box (and about a million other boxes) arrived today! The only new box choice this month was “Shelter” so it was an easy pick.  They also had “Cafe“, “Swagger“, “Made“, “Sweat“, “Aged” and “Aces” available if you weren’t interested in Shelter.

In case you aren’t familiar with them, Bespoke Post delivers fresh and interesting lifestyle brands and products to men. Each month, you’ll get to choose from their limited-edition boxes filled with an array of products built around a central, unique theme. Don’t want one that month? Just skip the month (you can opt out during the first 5 days of the month) and you won’t be charged.

The Box

Bespoke Post shipped via USPS (using Newgistics) and took only three days to arrive this month.  All my boxes seem to be arriving extra quickly this month and I love it!

First Look

Since Bespoke Post allows you to see your box selection before committing to purchasing it, it’s never a surprise to open the box (well sometimes it is because I forget what’s coming).  But it’s still always fun.  I should mention that Bespoke Post sends very high quality items.  I have never once been disappointed with the quality of their shipments!

The Information Card

As I said, our March 2014 Bespoke Post box theme was “Shelter” and included items to keep you covered inside and out when the weather is dreary.  Here is what was inside:

~Stanton Umbrella (Bespoke Custom Series) (Price Unknown):  I am looking forward to the Spring days when we need to use umbrellas.  Because that will mean winter is over!  We opened this in the house (I think that’s bad luck right) and it’s one powerful umbrella. It pops open so fast. This is easily the nicest umbrella we have ever owned and B will make good use of it between school and work. I kind of want one of my own.

~Horween Leather Coasters (Bespoke Custom Series) ($30): These will end up in the theatre room or in B’s eventual bar / game room in the basement.  One day we won’t need  a giant inflatable bounce house and a play kitchen in the basement and it’ll be a cool hang out area with a pool table and tv and all that fun stuff! These will go perfectly down there.

Since I can’t find a price on the umbrella for sale online, I can’t do a cost breakdown on this box.  However, I looked up some comparable umbrellas and they looked to be about $100, so I certainly think we got our $45 worth!  Now I wouldn’t pay $100 for an umbrella, but I think $45 for these two high quality items is a great deal.

Loving this umbrella and the picture is awesome. WB is so stinkin’ cute. I just had to get a new umbrella for my car since mine had dry rotted but since I had had that once since college it was about time LOL

Ha! I have a fake burberry umbrella that I think is like 15 years old. I still love it though.

Adorable pic! Since this was our first Bespoke Post box, we chose the Cafe box and added the scoop and grinder to complete the set. It seems like a really good value! I also thought is would be cute to take those items and put them on a bar cart in our dining room, since we really aren’t big drinkers.

      That’s a great idea!
