One of the many boxes I received yesterday happened to be my February 2014 Barkbox! I got a shipping notification for this one, but I kind of forgot it was coming so it was a nice surprise.

The Box

Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took eight days to arrive.  Longer than normal, but with the holiday and weekend and my mailman not delivering mail, it makes sense that it took a while longer.

First Look

Ohh, I was very excited by the first look!  I saw something I knew the boys would love and a few things I didn’t recognize.

The Information Card

The February 2014 Barkbox includes everything you need for your own Doggie Date Night meaning things you and your dog can enjoy together.  Here is what was inside:

~Petsafe Sheepskin Ted ($5.99): I love this guy!  The dogs used to have one of these and they loved it.  This is to be used when you can’t be there for your pet and they need a friend.

~Loopies Stoggies ($9.95): How funny are these?  Kind of reminds me of the dogs playing poker paintings!  The boys have already been fighting over this one.

~Superior Farms Dog Biscuit Treats ($9.99):  These are pretty big for my guys, so I am going to pass them on to my brother and his herd.  The count over there is at 4 now until they can find a home for the latest one they found.

~Complete Natural Nutrition Cheese Please Treats ($5.99): These are perfect for movie nights because they look like popcorn, but are actually 100% cheese!  They are actually human snacks too, but I haven’t been able to talk myself into trying them yet.  Maybe later….

~Barkworthies Junior Bully Stick ($2.50):I pretty much think that we get a Barkworthies in every single Barkbox.  The boys like them, but I would prefer a a new treat they haven’t tried yet.

All totaled I came up with a value of $34.42 for February 2014 Barkbox.  This was probably one of my favorite Barkboxes we’ve gotten lately and I think the furries would agree!

Loved our barkbox- this was the last month for my sub. I might renew…idk.
That Loopies was on my rug by the sink about an hour after we open the box and I stop and thought it was poop at first until I took another look at it. The hubby and I laughed about it. LOL

    1. Jennifer

HA! I opened it and was like this is a curious looking toy??.

I get a small dog box- do you get medium? Normally in the past I have received identical boxes to you but this month I had some different items. Instead of Ted I got a cute stuffed sushi hand roll toy with a squeaker, no barkworthy but instead was a 7″ rabbit treat (that was gone within 2 minutes), and instead of Superior Farms dog biscuits there was a bag of Max and Ruffy’s blueberry small bite treats. The stoggie and cheese treats were in the box too.

Hmm, no, I get the small ones??? I just looked in my account and verified. I wonder why it was different this month?

Strange I always get the same box as Jen too…..

I just started getting barkbox and my pup is a toy annihilator. I’m slightly worried about the sheepskin ted toy because she has been known to pull stuffed toys apart. I was wondering how your dogs were playing with it and how durable it seems so far?

    1. Jennifer

My dogs take forever to destroy a toy so they are bad examples! You can note that your dog is a heavy chewer and they’ll give you more durable stuff.

My snacks were different then yours and because my puppy is a heavy chewer she got a huge rope ball with a rope handle on it. She’s so cute carrying it around. I still liked it and will be renewing in March so she can continue with getting it.

I like that they accommodate for that!

I got our really good friends a three month Barkbox subscription for Christmas. They have a medium and a large (dang giant labradoddle) dog. They loved the boxes! Such a fun gift that kept giving long after the holidays. Thanks for giving me the heads up about the box and the special sub!

    1. Jennifer

That is a fun gift! Glad they liked it!!

We get the medium box, so got slightly different items. My dog loves the cheese snacks, but we haven’t gotten up the nerve to try them even though they look really good. I never listed her as a heavy chewer as I didn’t want her to lose out on fun toys, but we got the Harry Barker rope toy too. It’s a little big for her, but she loves it! I need to snap a picture of her carrying it around, as it’s too funny!

    1. Jennifer

If you try them I will too!

I’m considering subscribing to Barkbox after forgetting to go to the pet store and running out of toys. I did one month of Barkbox, and got everything almost identical to this post (I signed up for LARGE), except I didn’t get a bullystick or the sheepskin toy. Instead I got a one-pack of that smoothie. I feel like I got jipped!

    1. Jennifer

I wonder if it’s because the big dog toys cost more since they are larger??

  8. Brooke

Oh, and to add, I ate one of those cheese things. Very salty.
