December 2014 Fancy Food Box

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

So many boxes arrived today and one of them was my December 2014 Fancy Food Box. I was anxious to see what was included because my fancy boxes have been, umm, less than Fancy lately, and was hoping that this one would redeem itself.

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), offers a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love HewittVerbalKelly Rowland, Nicky HiltonCoco RochaSnoop DoggT-Pain and / or The Rockettes. They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes and their Culinary Box.

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Box

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx and took just two days to arrive to me. My mom was actually here watching WB while I helped out at L’s school today and was cracking up at the number of boxes that came today.

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

The first look was okay, not OMGAMAZING, but okay.  Like with all of the other Fancy boxes I have received in the last few months, this one didn’t have an information card.  I still have no idea what is going on with that.

Here is what my December 2014 Fancy Food Box included:

~hot cakes Peanut Butter Bites ($15): This company’s website is right.  There isn’t much better than chocolate, peanut butter and salt.  And these are amazing.  So good!

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

hot cakes Peanut Butter Bites

~Red Rocker Candy Rocking Chair Mix ($8):  Another yummy treat.  It’s a mix of cereals, pretzels and almonds all covered in chocolate.  It’s one of those snacks you have to move away from you or you will be temped to eat the entire can in one sitting.

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

Red Rocker Candy Rocking Chair Mix

~Raley’s Holiday Mix ($5) and EmotiCandy ($5): I love hard candies and these are really cute.  And good too, but mainly I like them because they are so cute!

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

Raley’s Holiday Mix and EmotiCandy

~We Rub You Korean BBQ Marinade ($8): We’ve gotten this before, but I am not sure if it was in a Fancy box or a different box. B will make something with it.  Fancy used to include recipes in their Fancy Food boxes, but that is no longer the case.

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

We Rub You Korean BBQ Marinade

~Annalisa All Natural Chocolates ($13.95): I don’t think you can go wrong with a box of chocolates.  Well wait, if it’s 90 degrees out when you ship it than yes, you can go wrong ;). But these were perfect and totally delicious!

December 2014 Fancy Food Box

Annalisa All Natural Chocolates

All totaled I came up with a value of $54.95 for the December 2014 Fancy Food Box.  Including shipping, the box is $46.95, so there wasn’t a ton of added value here and I just wasn’t wowed by it.  I am taking a little Fancy Box (Food and otherwise) break and will see what they send out in the next few months and if I see any improvements I may resubscribe.

Did you get Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  If you are thinking of ordering the Fancy Food Box, click here and get signed up! If you order now, your subscription will begin with the November box.  And if you are looking for any of the other Fancy Box boxes (including Mystery Boxes), I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site, which I find quite confusing at times.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

The November 2014 Fancy Food Box has arrived!  I always loving seeing what treats Fancy includes so B and I were excited to open it up.

The Box

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx and took the standard two days to arrive to me.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

The first look was absolutely fantastic.  I loved everything I saw and was anxious to see what other items were in there.  For whatever reason there wasn’t an information card in this box.  Fancy hasn’t been sending them lately, so I don’t quite know what’s up for that.  Anyway, here is what the November 2014 Fancy Food Box included:

~McClures Bloody Mary Potato Chips ($5): B loves these chips!  We might be a little biased because they are made in Detroit, but they are really really good.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

McClures Bloody Mary Potato Chips

~Three Jerks The Original Filet Mignon Beef Jerky ($14.99): B couldn’t wait for me to get the pictures of this box taken fast enough so he could try this.  And he loved it.  It’s possible we’ve gotten this before somewhere, but it’s been a long time I know that.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

Three Jerks The Original Filet Mignon Beef Jerky

~The Cravory Cookies ($6): L and I have declared the Birthday Cake cookie to be the best cookie ever made.  It was dense and rich and just delicious.  I want to go to San Diego and try these cookies fresh out of the oven!  I don’t see how they could possibly be any better, but I bet they are.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Cravory Cookies

~popBar Hot Chocolate on a Stick ($8.99):  I have gotten these before and I have always loved them.  They are more fun than regular hot chocolate and also make a great gift.

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

popBar Hot Chocolate on a Stick

~My Brother’s Salsa (Cranberry Orange) ($8): I could totally see myself eating this with chips or even with with turkey on Thanksgiving.  It might be weird, but I think it’d be good!

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

My Brother’s Salsa – Cranberry Orange

~Wing Time Buffalo Wing Sauce ($8): This is probably the only item that I am really not overly excited about.  I’ll get used eventually, but I am not sure for what?  Maybe for Super Bowl?

November 2014 Fancy Food Box

Wing Time Buffalo Wing Sauce

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.98 for the November Fancy Food Box, which is just barely over the $46.95 cost of the box.  So while the box had a lot of fantastic items in it, I can’t really say that it was a great value.  Fancy Food Box used to put together some really great boxes with awesome values and I hope they are able to get back there.  But at least for now I have my Cravory cookies to make me feel better!

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Yesterday was a slow subscription box day around here (believe it or not, NO boxes arrived), but things have picked back up today with the arrival of my October 2014 Fancy Food Box.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Box

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx and took the normal two days to arrive to me. It shipped on Monday and I received it today (Wednesday).

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

I thought it was funny that the box was marked Fragile (along with “Very Fancy”) and arrived kind of smooshed.  LOL.  It seems like only when something is marked fragile do I see a damaged box.  Or maybe that’s the only time I notice.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Information Card

The October 2014 Fancy Food Box theme was “Fall Flavors” and included the following rich fall flavors:

~Yunnan Black Tea ($8): I don’t know if I will ever get excited about tea.  Are there any other uses for tea? You know, like how you can make a scrub out of coffee and that kind of thing?

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Yunnan Black Tea

~Rouge Blue Cheese Popcorn ($5.99): Delicious.  This also comes in a bunch of other delicious flavors which I hope to also try!  SO good!

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Rouge Blue Cheese Popcorn

~Kika’s Treats Caramelized Graham Crackers ($8): Umm, yes, these are just as amazing as they sound.  I can’t wait for L to get home from school to try one.  He loves chocolate covered graham crackers and these are a step above normal ones.  Okay, make that like 10 steps above regular ones.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Kika’s Treats Caramelized Graham Crackers

~Sniffle Slayer Lollipops ($8): Now this is a smart fall item.  They have lemon, ginger, honey and cayenne pepper in them and will make a cold a bit more bearable.  I don’t *want* to get a cold, but I also can’t wait to try these and see if they really do make me feel better.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Sniffle Slayer Lollipops

~Honey Nougat – Almond ($8): Am I the only one that thinks nougat looks kind of gross?  It’s delicious, I really think it is, but it’s such an odd texture and just looks like something should be covering it up.  Like chocolate maybe ;).

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Honey Nougat – Almond

~Bonbon Chocolate Bar ($10): You for sure don’t need a lot of this chocolate to satisfy a sweet tooth craving.  Just a little square will do the trick. Sometimes it’s better to just go to for the best stuff instead of trying to substitute something in it’s place because you will usually wind up eating more of the substitute because it’s not what you wanted.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Bonbon Chocolate Bar

~Chi-Cho Hot Sauce ($9): I love the name of this, but I don’t love hot sauce.  I’ll let B figure out what to do with this one.

October 2014 Fancy Food Box

Chi-Cho Hot Sauce

All totaled I came up with a value of $56.99 for the October 2014 Fancy Food Box.  While I enjoyed this box (I always do), I would love to see the value boosted a bit.  The last few months have been a little low, but I have hopes it increases again.  I do love to get so many different products though!

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

Yay!  My September 2014 Fancy Food Box is here!  I ended up skipping last month’s box, so I was totally anxious to get this month’s box.  I’d missed it!

They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes and their new Culinary Box.

The Box

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx and took two (business) days to arrive.  It shipped on Friday and I received it today (Tuesday).

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

I tried to peek at spoilers on Instagram for this one, but couldn’t find a thing.  So opening it was a complete surprise.  The box was very heavy and was marked “Handle With Care. Fragile. Very Fancy.” which made me giggle.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Information Cards

The September 2014 Fancy Food Box theme was “Lunch Box” and included everything you need to pack a killer lunch box.  Here is what was inside:

~Jalapeño Be Thy Name ($10): I am not normally a fan of spicy anything, but I can make an exception for spicy peanut butter.  Apples and this peanut butter?  YES!!!

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

Jalapeño Be Thy Name

~The Jam Stand Stroseberry Jam ($10): We are big fans of The Jam Stand around here.  We’ve gotten a few different flavors they offer in various subscription boxes, but this is the first time we have gotten Stroseberry.  I cannot wait to have this on some toast in the morning.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Jam Stand Stroseberry Jam

~Q Drinks Sparkling Soda ($2.50): I’m not sure where these came from, but I know we have had them in the past. L loves them and they are a special treat for him.  He gets to have soda minus all the sugar and other icky stuff.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

Q Drinks Sparkling Soda

~Green Mountain Mustard ($7): I am on serious mustard overload this month.  It’s everywhere.  And I am just not a fan.  I’ll give this to my mom or some other mustard lover out there because B can only use up a jar of mustard so fast.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box`

Green Mountain Mustard

~Megpies Pop Tarts ($6.50): Homemade Pop Tars?  Delicious.  I detest regular Pop Tarts, but this chocolate one is amazing.  If (when) I visit Brooklyn, I will make a stop in to their store.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

Megpies Pop Tarts

~Key Lime Pie Marshmallows ($7.95): These are a little out there for me.  I like plain marshmallows, s’mores ones, etc. but key lime?  Not so much.  L will enjoy them though.

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

Key Lime Pie Marshmallows

~Salty Road Salt Water Taffy ($6.50): We are big Salty Road Taffy fans around here.  I don’t think I have met a flavor of these I don’t like.  And they will work as a little treat in L’s lunchbox as well.

Salty Road Salt Water Taffy

Salty Road Salt Water Taffy

~McClure’s Bloody Mary Chips ($2.99): These are amazing.  Plus, they make their products here in Detroit, so what’s not to like?

September 2014 Fancy Food Box

McClure’s Bloody Mary Chips

All totaled I came up with a value of $53.44 for the September 2014 Fancy Food Box.  Not a great value by any means, but I loved the curation on this one.  And many of these things are not available around here so that adds value for me.  Still I would have loved to see maybe a bento box or something along those lines to round this “Lunch Box” themed box out.

Did you get Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  If you are thinking of ordering the Fancy Food Box, click here and get signed up! If you order now, your subscription will begin with the October box.  And if you are looking for any of the other Fancy Box boxes (including Mystery Boxes), I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

I was quite pleased to see a bright Fancy Box waiting for my on the porch today when we got home from our errands.  And I was even happier when I realized it was my July 2014 Fancy Food Box!

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), offers a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love HewittVerbalKelly RowlandCoco RochaSnoop DoggT-Pain and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and took two days to arrive. It left the East Coast on Monday and arrived to me today (Wednesday).  My PopSugar box, on the other hand, left the East Coast last week (I think on the 3rd) and is currently in West Virginia.  Not even close to me at all.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

First Look

Totally loved this first look.  I didn’t recognize anything in it and that always makes me happy.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

The Information Card

The July 2014 Fancy Food Box included items to help you stop up your 4pm ritual, whether you are having friends over for high tea or counting down to your afternoon coffee.  Here is what was inside:

~Hey Boo Coconut Jam ($14): The name alone makes me like this!  I am not a giant coconut fan, but I want to see what B comes up to use this for.  Fancy suggests using it on toast or to complement a fruit and cheese plate.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

Hey Boo Coconut Jam

~La Colombe Pure Black Brew ($8): Had I not been holding a Starbucks in my hand when I opened this box up I would have cracked right into this drink.  I stayed up way too late last night and needed some coffee in the worst way.  This is cold-pressed and is described as “extra-strong”.  I will be having this tomorrow morning ;).

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

La Colombe Pure Black Brew

~Therm-O-Glass Vessel ($41):I think I am in love.  This is a do everything glass “vessel”.  You can use it to infuse tea (well I could if I liked tea), use it as a water infuser or use it to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.  The bottle won’t sweat which is something that drives me crazy in the summer.  And let’s not forget about the gorgeous design of this.  So awesome.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

Therm-O-Glass Vessel

~Blackbird Food Co. Granola ($12): This is good alone or in the morning with your yogurt.  I am going to stash this in my office as a go to snack.

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

Blackbird Food Co. Granola

~Mini Stroopwafels ($3.99):  Totally delicious.  If these don’t perk up your afternoon coffee, I don’t know what will.  Love love love!

July 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

Mini Stroopwafels

All totaled I came up with a value of $78.99 for the July 2014 Fancy Food Box.  I totally loved this box and was super excited that I did not recognize a single product or brand from this month’s box.  That vessel and coffee alone made this box for me  Everything else was just a bonus!

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Yay!  My June 2014 Fancy Food Box is here!  I feel like these boxes come earlier and earlier every month and I love it!

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month (plus shipping), offers a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer the Fancy Food Box you see here, as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes.

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Box

Fancy Food Box ships via FedEx (as always) and took the usual two days to arrive to me.  This month’s box was super heavy and I had been trying to guess what was in it ever since i got the tracking e-mail that showed the weight of the box.

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

Ohh, lots of goodies in this month’s box!  I like when there are more items in the box.  Because then it’s okay if I don’t love them all.

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Information Card

The June 2014 Fancy Food Box includes new takes on BBQ classics, from condiments, to candies, to Shirley Temples.  Here is what this month’s box included:

~Quin Candy Dreams Come Chew ($12): Totally yummy! I tried one and immediately wanted to try every other flavor.  But I will save some for B.

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Quin Candy Dreams Come Chew

~Quin Candy Twizzlie Rolls ($6):  Okay I thought those other candies were good.  But these are better. They are chewy chocolates with a hint of sea salt and coffee.  Three things I love all in one candy!

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Quin Candy Twizzlie Rolls

~Sir Kensington’s Spicy Brown Mustard ($6.25): This looks just like the mustard I made in the April Homegrown Collective box.  I am not a mustard fan at all, but if B sneaks it in a recipe and doesn’t tell me I will be okay with it.  I am not going to willingly put it on a burger though.  Although I do think brown mustard is better than yellow mustard (this is a blend of both).

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Sir Kensington’s Spicy Brown Mustard

~Sir Kensington’s Classic Ketchup ($6.68): B loves this ketchup, but I am more of a plain old Heinz girl! This is made from all-natural ingredients and I think it might just take some getting used too?

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Sir Kensington’s Classic Ketchup

~Quince & Apple Tart Cherry Grenadine ($13): This is made from Wisconsin cherries, so I know B will love it just because of that. I can’t wait to use it to make some fun lemonades this weekend!

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

Quince & Apple Tart Cherry Grenadine

~House of Webster Sweet and Hot Bread & Butter Pickles ($9.32): Just like mustard, I do not like pickles.  It might be the smell? Whatever it is I just don’t love them.  All my boys do though and likes to shop around for ones he’s never tried before so these will work well for him.

June 2014 Fancy Food Box

House of Webster Bread & Butter Pickles

All totaled, I came up with a value of $53.25 for the June 2014 Fancy Food Box.  While I liked the box and we will use every single item in it, I felt like the value was a little low this month.  Fancy Food Box doesn’t promise a certain value in their boxes, but I still felt like had one more item (maybe an apron for BBQ’ing?) been included it would have been more in line (price wise) with previous Fancy Food boxes.

Did you get Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  If you are thinking of ordering the Fancy Food Box, cluck here! May 2014 Fancy Food Box

I totally forgot my May 2014 Fancy Food Box was coming today, so I was pretty surprised when I saw my FedEx lady walk up the driveway holding it.

If you aren’t familiar Fancy offers not only their celebrity curated (Snoop Dogg, Coco Rocha, Jennifer Love Hewitt, T-Pain, Kelly Rowland and Verbal) and original Fancy Box, they also offer a Fancy Food Box, which includes five or more food products – anything from cookies and chocolates to teas and sauces. And more recently they have added Mystery Boxes, which start at $10/box.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Box

As usual, Fancy Box ships via FedEx. My boxes always take two days to get to me from the East Coast and this was no exception.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

I had yet to see (or look for) any spoilers on this one, so opening it was a total surprise.  I sensed a theme when I opened it and hoped my guess was right.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Information Card

I am guessing that all of the Fancy Boxes will eventually have these information cards instead of the individual ones we used to get.  I kind of like the change and it’s nice because you know you aren’t missing anything.  The May 2014 Fancy Food Box included everything you needed to make a full meal at home with an Italian inclination.  Here is what was inside:

~Sfoglini Pasta Trumpets ($7):  Mmmmm, pasta!  Sfoglini is Brooklyn based and produces pastas made from locally sourced ingredients.  I am literally counting down the days until B and I have this for dinner.  Maybe Sunday night?

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Sfoglini Pasta Trumpets

~Genovese Truffle Pesto ($7.98): I am hoping there is enough of this to do pasta and bruschetta!  I don’t believe we have ever used / received / bought a pesto like this and probably wouldn’t have bought it on our own, so it was nice that it showed up in here.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Genovese Truffle Pesto

~Tuscan Vodka Sauce ($8.99): I know I have had this before (Mantry maybe?) and it was fabulous.  This is what’s happening on Sunday night with the trumpet pasta!  And maybe some grilled chicken.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Tuscan Vodka Sauce

~Grey Ghost Lemon Sugar Cookies ($9):  Yes!  Lemon cookies are amazing and these are no exception.  WB and I tried them after lunch when they arrived and we both approved.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Grey Ghost Lemon Sugar Cookies

~Saveur Easy Italian Cookbook ($13.06): This cookbook has 30 authentic recipes including most of the classics.  I don’t enjoy cooking (B really does though), but I do love looking at cookbooks and picking out recipes for him to make.

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Saveur Easy Italian Cookbook

~Kale Krackers ($7.99): No matter what I do or try, I just cannot get into the kale / seaweed trends.  I know some people just love them though, so I am going to pass these on to one of those people!

May 2014 Fancy Food Box

Kale Krackers

All totaled I came up with a total of $54.02 for the May 2014 Fancy Food Box.  Certainly not the most valuable Fancy Box ever (not by a longshot), but of course I didn’t include any shipping in my prices either.  I loved them theme of this box, but would have liked another something to round out the box.  Maybe some fancy olive oil?

Yay!  My April 2014 Fancy Food Box is here!  I was hoping to see that box on the porch this afternoon when I got home and there it was.

If you aren’t familiar Fancy offers not only their celebrity curated (Snoop Dogg, Coco Rocha, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kelly Rowland and Verbal) and original Fancy Box, they also offer a Fancy Food Box, which includes five or more food products – anything from cookies and chocolates to teas and sauces.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and took the standard two (business) days to arrive to me in MI.  Fancy Box ships out of MA and I am lucky to receive it nice and quickly.

First Look

I always love seeing what is going to be in the Fancy Food Box and the first look didn’t disappoint!

The Information Card

Eeek!  Seven items were included in the April Fancy Food Box!  I really like when they have a lot of items because then it you don’t like one or two, it’s not as much of a disappointment.  Here is what was included in the box:

~Joseph Joseph Pinch Pots ($12): I actually have these already from another Fancy Box.  You aren’t suppose to receive duplicates even between Fancy Boxes, so I will shoot them over an e-mail.  They usually handle it without a problem.  These are handy to have near you while cooking and look cool as well.

~Herb N Zest Spoonable Curry Ketchup ($8):  I am a total plain old Heinz ketchup girl, but hopefully B can figure out a recipe to use this in.

~Cacao & Coconut Chunky Bar ($7):  This is delicious!  I was a little hesitant because I feared it would be super coconut tasting, but it’s not at all.  The filling is almost truffle like.  So delicious.

~Dragon’s Blood Elixir ($7.50): We have a bottle of this here – from a Mantry box maybe – and I am not 100% sure what B has used it for.  Maybe chili?  Not too sure.  I try to avoid hot sauce, but B will eat it on occasion.

~Bjornqorn ($6): I love this name.  I keep saying it over and over again.  Bjorncorn!  It’s popped purely by the power of the sun on a farm in New York’s Hudson Valley.  How cool is that?

~Roots & Branches Olive Oil Crackers ($4.50): These are great alone and I can’t even imagine how amazing they are with a fabulous cheese.  I hope to find out quite soon ;).

~Queen City Cookies Pure Shortbread Pachyderm Cookies ($7): So.good.  These are little buttery bites of joy.  I love them.  And the fact that they are elephant shapes makes them even better.  LOVE!!!

All totaled I came up with a value of $52 for the April 2014 Fancy Food Box.  That’s one of the least “valuable” Fancy Food boxes I have received, however, I was introduced to a few new fabulous items (hello elephant shortbread cookies) and will use everything in here, so I am happy!

March 2014 Fancy Food Box Review

I was so excited when I got home from lunch today and found my March 2014 Fancy Food Box on my porch! If you aren’t familiar Fancy offers not only their celebrity curated and original Fancy Box, they also offer a Fancy Food Box, which includes five or more food products – anything from cookies and chocolates to teas and sauces. It’s probably my favorite of the Fancy boxes and I think B would agree.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and as always took two days to arrive.  Unlike some of the Fancy boxes that ship late or on a wacky schedule, this one is always right on time! Sometimes even early (I expect it around the 10th of the month).

First Look

I knew from the first look we were off to a good start. B loves McClures and I couldn’t want to see what else was included.

The Information Cards

The March 2014 Fancy Food Box theme was “Movie Night” and included special snacks to enjoy will you are catching up on some Oscar-winning films or just binging on Netflix!  Here is what was included:

~Just Caramel Original Caramels and Pecan Caramels (~$6):  Mmmmm.  I am not a huge fan of the pecan caramels, but the original ones?  Those are delicious.  And B will happily eat the pecan ones, so we are all good!

~Tumbador Hazelnut Dragee ($15): We received chocolate covered animal crackers from this brand a few months ago and they were the most delicious things ever.  I am going to pack these up for B for his little road trip tonight!

~Columbia River Tart Cherries ($9.25): I am generally not a fan of cherries in my cookies, so I think I am going to add these to muffins or something along those lines for the boys.   They can also be eaten as is, so they’ll work for a snack for L’s lunches.

~Owl’s Brew Pink & Black Cocktail Mixer ($4): This is a blend of black tea, hibiscus, lemon peel and agave splashed with strawberry and lemon juices.  Add your favorite liquor and it sounds to me like you’ve got an amazing cocktail.  I will have to report back on this because it’s not Happy Hour here yet. ETA: B made “a few” drinks with this the other night and loved it.  He used vodka with it and loved it.  He makes his drinks a little stronger than I would, so I didn’t love it quite as much as he did.

~The Mason Shaker ($29): Totally love.  I can’t wait to enjoy a cocktail on the patio (or up-north) made with this fun shaker.  So cute.

~Nunu Chocolates Chocolate Covered Grahams ($8):  Another amazing snack!  I am saving a few for a movie night I am hoping to have tonight (B is not always into my movies) and I can’t wait to have the rest!

~McClure’s Garlic Gill Crinkle Cut Potato Chips ($3): B saw these and was super excited.  He loves them and I am guessing they will end up on his road trip (he’s got National Guard tomorrow) as well!!

All totaled I came up with a value of about $74.25 and I loved this box.  Totally loved it. I was excited when I opened it and I am excited about it still!  I can’t recall ever being overly disappointed with the Fancy Food Box and I am not at all disappointed with this one either!

February 2014 Fancy Food Box

February 2014 Fancy Food Box

Yay! My February 2014 Fancy Food Box arrived today! If you aren’t familiar Fancy offers not only their celebrity curated and original Fancy Box, they also offer a Fancy Food Box, which includes five or more food products – anything from cookies and chocolates to teas and sauces. It is also said to include “a selection of tasty recipes and pairing suggestions”, however, my recent boxes haven’t had that.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and as always took two days to arrive.  Unlike some of the Fancy boxes that ship late or on a wacky schedule (I’m looking at you Tyler Florence Box) Fancy Food Box is always right on time!

February 2014 Fancy Food Box

First Look

I attempted to look for spoilers online, but I had no luck, so my first look was totally blind!  I was super excited but what I saw in the first look because I thought I saw something I have wanted for a while now!

February 2014 Fancy Food Box

The Information Cards

The Fancy information cards are the same as always.  The front has a picture of the items and the back has a brief description.  Sadly this month wasn’t Valentine’s Day themed as I had hoped it would be.  Maybe because Fancy has special Valentine’s Day Fancy Box?  Not sure.  But here is what was included:

~Fred Unzipped Glass Snack Bag ($20): Ahh, I have seriously been wanting one of these!  I have no idea why, but I really have been.  Something about them just draws me in!  I am putting this in my office right away.  Not sure if I will fill it with candy or some sort of office supply, but I am loving it.

~New York Naturals Sea Salt & Vinegar Kale Chips ($7.49): No matter how many times I have tried Kale Chips and how good other people say it is, I am just not a fan.  The flavor sounds good, but I also thought that about the cheddar ones I once received!

~Chocolat Moderne The Lover White Chocolate ($7): I was expecting greatness from this one, but I didn’t really like it.  The chocolate was good, but the passion fruit caramel filling just wasn’t for me.  I would LOVE to try their Smoked Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bar though.  I bet that is incredible!

~Nunu Chocolate South African Amarula Ganaches ($8): Delicious!  I loved these and don’t think I have had anything quite like them.  They are VERY rich, but also very good!  Amarula, if you are wondering, is a South African cream liqueur.

~Roni-Sue Beer & Caramel Pretzel Nuggets ($10):  These are really really good, but also really really hard / crunchy.  I would not recommend these after you just got a filling, but I would recommend them otherwise!

~Lala’s Nuts Bodacious Bourbon Walnuts (~$9.99): These are the only thing in the box I haven’t tried yet (I am going to let B try these first), but once he finds out they are from Wisconsin, I know he will say they are fabulous, no matter what ;).

February 2014 Fancy Food Box

Lala’s Nuts Bodacious Bourbon Walnuts

All totaled I came up with a value of about $62.48 for the February 2014 Fancy Food Box!  Not an incredible value, however, except for the snack bag I had never heard of any of the items in the box (I am pretending the kale wasn’t in there) which I loved!
