Today I’m Smiling Because…
~B and L had father-son date night and went to see Goosebumps last night. They both love going to the movies and said it was a good one.
~I got so many things on my “To Do” list checked off this weekend including taking a big load of stuff to Goodwill.
~I found these two IKEA red lanterns in my basement that I had totally forgotten I had bought! I can’t recall exactly when I bought them, but it’s been a few years for sure. I was THRILLED when I realized I had them!
~Baxter and Buddy are the best. Â I can’t imagine NOT having dogs. Â Yeah, Buddy is a little naughty and Baxter is moody, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
~My neighbors got some great news about a potential foster / adoption!
~After a NASTY few days of weather it’s supposed tho be gorgeous this weekend! Â And just in time because the boys have outdoor pictures with a reindeer on Sunday!
~WB is all into Minecraft and gets so serious when he plays. Â He only knows how to do a few things (which are a few more things than I know), but he just loves it.
~L got a note in the mail from one of his teacher’s saying how great it was to have him in class and what a joy it was. Â I loved reading it (#proudmom), but watching him read it and see how proud he was made it even better!

OMG. So I bought the kids Minecraft on the iPad & phones at the start of the summer and they’re 100% obsessed – we’re having a MC birthday party next month, the works. They started asking about an Xbox and I am 100% against having a gaming console.
Last night I downloaded it onto the mac, and THEY THINK I BOUGHT THEM AN XBOX!!!
I am only up this early because E didn’t know how to switch profiles back to his and didn’t want to ask his sister for fear of her playing it instead of him. they do not know how to ride a horse or eat food. i am not sure if they figured out the egg yet.
I’m smiling because we’re going to tailgate the Baylor game! We were supposed to get tickets, but those plan fell through! George’s Party Zone it is… It’s the next best thing! My in-laws are at Game Day so I better tune in to see if I can spot my nephews!
Love your mantle, looks like your decorating is really coming along. Now to convince the hubby to pull out all of our things so I can start this weekend myself. I purchased a new tree last year so I want to get it up early since I’m so excited to enjoy it.
I have never understood Minecraft. But maybe I’m thinking of something else.

LOL! B and the kids want a cat so bad, but I am so allergic. They make my eyes itchy and watery and just miserable.
And no, you are probably thinking of Minecraft. I do not understand it at all.
Smiling today, finally got a new battery for my phone, finally heard from my son, he is doing well and safe and working at the winery today. Jen, your holiday decorations are gorgeous!
