Haha! Househunters is nuts with those prices, I’m expecting mansions for those prices… on the flip side I bet they think people is Texas live in shacks for our prices! I have no clue how regular people mortgage those houses. Amazing.
They really do!!! I LOVE command strips! Word of warning, when you pull them off pull at an angle and watch your finger. Sometimes they will “snap” when it comes off the wall and hit your finger and that hurts! BUT It still doesn’t damage walls! I use them alllll the time!!
I read a FB article the other day about renting costs and what $1000 a month can get you in other cities … yet another reason I don’t want to live in a big city! Geeze! That’s more than my mortgage lol!
I second your advice on removing the Command hooks. They work great but if you don’t watch your fingers when you take them off you could be in for some serious pain. I pulled one off and it hit my finger so hard it cut it and left a deep gash and a nice big bruise. BUT it only took one time and now I’m VERY careful!!
Command hooks are the best! When I was a teacher the walls were concrete and I used those suckers for everything!
And I’m with you on house costs. We live in Gilbert, AZ and it’s SO cheap to live out here. When we visit family in San Diego an friends in NYC we get a little envious, but then we see the cost of living and are immediately thankful for our affordable city!
Love It or List it has been filming and showing in Durham, NC right next to me and some in Cary and Raleigh. I love to watch it since the prices are so close to what I know but I’m always trying to figure out where they are shopping. Some of the houses they show are just crazy and no where near where the people were living.
