DoodleBug Busy Bags is a monthly craft subscription for kids ages 3 – 9. DoodleBug Busy Bags keep little hands busy and little minds active. Each month your child will receive a bag of 4 – 8 curated crafts, often centered on a holiday or seasonal theme, and all the supplies your child needs to complete each activity. Once completed, the crafts may be used as learning tools, decorations, toys, or given away as gifts. DoodleBug Busy Bags are fun, easy to complete, and help develop motor skills, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and confidence.
DoodleBug Busy Bags ships via USPS between the 1st – 8th of every month. If you sign up on or before December 17, your first DoodleBug Busy Bag will ship between January 1st – 8th. If you sign up after December 18, your first DoodleBug Busy Bags will ship between February 1st – 8th.
Everything arrives in a sealed plastic bag with the individual craft projects inside. They are in sealed pouches so everything stays where it should and you can work on one or two at a time.
The November 2015 DoodleBug Busy Bags theme was Thanksgiving” and included the following items:
~Give Thanks Magnet: WB (my 3.5 year old son) and I did most of these together, but he waster into the ones with the stickers on the back – like these. You just peeled off the paper, stick the pumpkin and pineapple (?) on and you are done!
~Turkey: Ahh, this one was all me. I was directed on how to place the feathers, but he didn’t want to do any of the glueing. Perhaps he should have though because I kept glueing the back of the feathers instead if the bottom of the front. Oops!
~Magic Color Scratch Fall Leaves: Why don’t my kids find these as amazing as I do? I used to love making these myself when I was younger. You would use crayons to color paper and then you color over the top in black crayon pressing super hard. And then you would scratch it all off. They have them pre-made now (kids don’t know how good they have it) like these! I scratched and WB told me what to do!
~Gourd Turkey: This is labeled as the founders favorite and it was my favorite too. I was impressed that it actually stood up on it’s own and everything stuck on there perfectly.
~Enter with a Thankful Heart Wreath: This one was all WB. It was all peel and stick and he had a great time deciding where to put it all.
~Turkey Beaded Necklace: This might have been WB’s favorite. Maybe not his favorite to make, but it was his favorite after because he could wear it. We were so busy crafting with these that we didn’t take any pictures at all. Oops.
~Cornucopia: This wasn’t on the information card, so it must have just been a bonus craft. It was fun, but wow, I am bad at lacing. I had to redo it because I got the holes wrong. WB and I did this one together. I did half – he did half!

I feel like all of their crafts come from Oriental Trading. I’ve seen them before on their website!
Hi Lmki — They do come from OT. Most of our crafts for this bag do. We use a few other vendors, but customers who purchase this bag tend to prefer OT.
