Today I’m Smiling Because…
~It’s Halloween! Yeah it might rain, but we’re going to have fun anyway!
~L’s school party and parade were a success. It’s a madhouse, but it’s always SO fun to see all the kiddos parade around the school.
~This guy. His teachers were telling me that he gets this sly little smile on his face when he does something naughty (and gets caught). And at home, if he’s in the middle of getting in trouble or doesn’t want to do what we’re asking, he’ll run over and give you a hug and say, “you know mama, I really really love you”.
~I do NOT enjoy wrapping presents all fancy, however, I did enjoy checking out the Sugar Paper for Target display. It’s all SO gorgeous.
~I found that gold flatware I have been eyeing at Target for 70% off!
~Haircuts! I love when the boys get haircuts. They just look extra adorable with their short hair.

Our Halloween was rescheduled to last night due to expected weather. It was fun, but not the same when it’s moved. Today is a day of cooking a few southern comfort dishes, some mild scary movie watching and hopefully later a nice rainy nap time.
Pineapple dump cake definitely has me smiling today! It’s raining so I’m cooking!
I will totally trade the 91 degree, dry forecast that we have for Halloween here on the California Central Coast for just a few drops of your Halloween rain!!
We watched a few classics…Stephen Kings It, Carrie and of course Lost Boys.
