GiftLit is a monthly subscription of books for children and adults. They offer 3, 6 and 12-month subscriptions for adults and children in a wide variety of categories. I received a subscription for L who is 7 years-old from their 5-8 year-old subscriptions. These subscriptions, which are a minimum of 3-months, begin at $47.95 ($15.98/month). You are able to customize your monthly book choices or you can stick with GiftLit suggestions.
GiftLit ships via USPS in a plain cardboard box. Inside you’ll find your books neatly gift wrapped with a note on the front. L received the following this month:
~The Notebook of Doom – Charge of the Lightning Bug ($15.99): L and I started the first few chapters of this book together (with me reading) and we both thought it was really fun. Last week when his class went on a field trip his teacher suggested that they bring a book to read on the bus ride there so he brought this along. And wouldn’t you know it, he finished this entire book by himself! And he loved it. He couldn’t wait to come home and tell me about it and I couldn’t wait to hear all about it! It’s aimed at “newly independent readers” which absolutely describes L and was just a perfect selection for him.
This Amazon cost of the book was basically equal to the GiftLit price and we really couldn’t be happier with this. I am going to pick up some of the other books from the Notebook of Doom series for L because he loved this one so much. Thank you for the great pick GiftLit!
