Yummy Bazaar is a monthly gourmet destination food club. Each month subscribers will receive 6-8 items all revolving around that month’s country theme. Also available is the monthly Sampler which is $9.95/month and includes 6-8 sample-size products from around the world.
Yummy Bazaar ships between the 15th and 18th of every month for orders placed prior to the 15th. If you subscribe on 9/1, you will receive shipping notification email and tracking number between 9/15 and 9/18 for your September shipment. If you subscribe on 9/20, you will receive shipping notification email and tracking number between 10/15 and 10/18 for your October shipment.
The Yummy Bazaar box was much larger than I was expecting it to be.
The September 2015 Yummy Bazaar destination was “Spain” and included the following items:
~Black Truffle Potato Chips by Torres: Ohh, Black Truffle chips? Yes! These have just the right amount of salt and are made with authentic black summer truffles. So good.
~Sweet Orange Olive Oil Tortas by Ines Rosales: These are interesting. They are made with crystallized Seville oranges and sprinkled with sugar. I am honestly not sure what to think of these. They sound like something I would like, but I wasn’t feeling it. Maybe I need to try them with something else?
~Membrillo Quince Paste by San Lorenzo: I just a cannot get past the texture on this one. It’s thicker than jello and has a harder texture. If I could get past the texture and the fact it’s in a can, I would probably really like it.
~Yellowfin Tuna in Olive Oil by La Pescadora: I usually just eat tuna in water, so this was quite a treat! It’s delicious. I don’t know that I want to pay $8 (that’s the price listed on the information card) for canned tuna, but it certainly was good.
~Spanish Bomba Paella Rice D.O.P. by Antonio Tomas: I can’t really get too excited about rice, but it’s always a welcome item. Bomba rice doubles in size when cooked and is “less sticky” than your Asian or Mexican rice. It’s recommended in paella so we are saving ours for that.
~Cold Extration Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Valdezarza: B was so excited to see this! I didn’t know this, but cold extraction methodology means that olive oil is extracted from olives without heating them, which leaves more of the original flavor.
~Paellero Paella Seasoning with Real Saffron by Carmencita: Yay! We now have paella seasoning to go along with our rice. I don’t know what else we will end up using in our paella, but I am looking forward to it.
Because the items are authentic to Spain I didn’t end up doing a cost breakdown on this box. I thought it was a fun one to try and thought they did a great hob with their selections.

Quince paste is yummy with cheese and water crackers! You can either spread a little on your cracker and top with cheese or just put a dab directly on the cheese. My husband will eat a whole container of quince paste in like a week that way.
Totally agree with Melissa… I think traditionally it is served with Manchego cheese. I could eat it by the boat load that way!
