ipsy September 2015 Subscription – “Face Fashion”

ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products selected for you based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.

The Package

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail. I generally expect to receive my package a week after they ship.

First Look

ipsy always includes a cosmetics bag with their monthly shipments.  If all the items fit, they are packaged inside the bag, otherwise they will be loose in the outer packaging.

The Card

The September 2015 ipsy theme was “Face Fashion” and my bag included the following items:

~GLAMGLOW Flashmud Brightening Treatment (.5oz/15g) ($16.24): GLAMGLOW!  When they revealed this as a possibility for this month’s bag I was thrilled.  And I am so happy I ended up getting it.  This works to brighten skin and give you a younger appearance.  The texture is a little less, umm, odd than other GLAMGLOWs (some remind me of a seaweed / mud mixture) and smells pretty nice. I’ll be buying the full size of this ASAP.

~tre’StiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon (Nantucket Nude) (.02oz/.7g) ($10.67): This lip crayon went on smoothly and lasted forever. I liked the packaging on it too.  I think having the color on the end like this is awesome and makes it way easier to grab out of your makeup bag.

~Pixi by Petra Brow Powder Trio (1.7g / .06oz) ($3.60): I am telling you, someone knows my brows are neglected and wants that fixed ASAP.  I have gotten so so so many brow products in the last few months. I am going to dig up some YouTube videos this weekend and get working on it.

~Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Cream Blush in ASH (.06oz) (~$4): SUCH a pretty blush.  It looks tiny, but a little bit goes a long way and I think this little container will last forever.

~Octavio Molina Hair Aceite de Argan (1fl.oz/30mL) ($7.38): I love the way this smoothed flyways without weighing down my hair or leaving it all greasy, but the smell isn’t the best. I can’t figure out what exactly it smells like, but I don’t love it.

~The September 2015 ipsy Bag: I may not always love bags ipsy (my computer constantly autocorrects it to tipsy which drives me nuts) sends, but I have to get them credit for constantly sending out different colors, patterns and materials.

The September 2015 ipsy Bag

All totaled I came up with a value of $41.89 for the September 2015 ipsy Glam bag. I loved my bag this month.  As long as it had the GLAMGLOW in it though I would have loved it regardless of the rest of the contents.

Aw shucks…you got the GlamGlow!! I was hoping for that instead of the eyeshadow.

I was bummed that I didn’t get the Glamglow until I looked at the ingredient list – Crikey!

I love Ipsy! I have had Ipsy for 18 months and love every bag I get. I got the Glam Glow treatment, the cream blush,a hibiscus face cream, the Trestiqe nude lip crayon and Vasanti face scrub. I already know I love the scrub from Birchbox and I love everything. Seriously that blush is amazing!! I’m definitely buying the full size.
