Genuine Articles is a quarterly subscription box supporting charities and celebrating the artistic/entrepreneurial spirit of North American Muslims.  Boxes include at least 5 items curated from the best makers and artists in North America.

Boxes are shipped via USPS Priority Mail on a quarterly basis in March, June, September, and December each year.

The first look revealed nothing!  I couldn’t tell what anything in this box was at all!

The September 2015 Genuine Articles charity was “Giving Back to Humanity” and the box included the following items:

~Black Pearl Naturals Bath Boutique All Natural Fabulous Face Sugar Scrub (4oz) ($10): This scrub works for all skin types and helps to smoothe dry patches and works to fight blemishes.

~Halimah’s Just Bees Pure Raw Honey ($4):  Just Bees‘ pure raw honey is a simple treat free of additives, pesticides, and chemicals and is made north Georgia.  My cousin has bees and I had no idea how difficult it was harvest honey before she got them. This bottle was A LOT of work and I appreciate that so much. It tasted great and will be great to have enough when the sore throats and what not take over this winter.

~InspireDeen Art Tile Coaster Art Set ($12): I love these!  I absolutely love these.  They are handmade and I will use them a ton.  I love when subscription boxes include useful items that are also adorable.

~LinaGardenia Handmade Beaded Necklace ($20): This necklace isn’t really my style, but I have a friend who would love it. It’s handmade and what’s even cooler is that most of the artists items are made using materials from her Great Aunt’s old pieces.

~Zakiyah Scented Candle Votive Set ($8): Candles in subscription boxes are always a win.  I rarely receive scents I don’t enjoy (subscribers either received Sandalwood or Nah Champa) and these were quite nice.  I found that they burned clean as well.

All totaled I came up with a value of $54 for the September 2015 Genuine Articles box. The value was right around the cost of the box, but I thought all the items were fairly priced and I liked the selections they made this month.
