Since this was a review box I didn’t known what items I would receive.  Subscribers however, are able to select what they would like their boxes to contain.  You will get a different product from that category (peanut butter, hot sauce, coffee, jerky, etc.) so it’s not like you will be receiving the same exact products / brands each month.  Here is what my War Foodie box contained:

~West Bean Papau New Guinea Coffee ($8): Totally a B item.  I am a coffee wimp, but he drinks his black. He’ll be back at his office tomorrow for the first time in weeks and this will head there with him!

~Pacific Beach Peanut Butter Spread – CinnaYum ($6.99): I have tasted the peanut butter that comes in MRE’s and it’s not horrible by any means, but this is better.  It makes plain old toast a special treat.

~Desert Smoke – Pineapple Habanero ($8): I have never used BBQ sauce as a dipping sauce, but I might with this one.  It’s not TOO spicy and works will on just about anything.  It will certainly flavor up an MRE or whatever is being served for dinner on base.

~Safari Crunch Berry Snakey Granola ($7): This is actually better than I expected.  It’s kind of sweet and has less than 100 calories per serving.  Probably not something you’d think about while deployed and trying to keep your energy up, but I liked that part.

As pictured, this box would cost $43.  The base price of $29 include two items of your choice and then each additional item is $7. Each of the items in the box have a value of around $7, but you wouldn’t find these at your local grocery store or commissary, so you’d need to factor in shipping as well.
