The Box

POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and took under a week to arrive. I think SmartPost changed up their routes recently because this box didn’t have as many stops as normal.

As usual I peeked at spoilers for this box so I knew what was going to be inside.  I don’t know if I have ever been (or will be) spoiler free for POPSUGAR.

The Information Card

The May 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “Glowing Skin, Mother’s Day, Fresh Flowers, Beach Bum, Colorful, California Sun” and included the following items:

~Sisters of Los Angeles Surf Sand Love Beach Towel ($40): I spread this out to take a picture and WB tested it right out for me.  The beach towel is super cute and we’ll get a ton of use out of it.

~Middle Kingdom Mini Plum Vase in Coral Red ($20): At first I wasn’t sure about this, but I think I like it.  I don’t know that I have ever gotten a vase in a subscription box, so that’s fun.  Plus it will give me an excuse to buy flowers at the grocery store when I am there.

~Kitsch Tri’d & True Y-Shaped Necklace ($32): Love this!  It’s delicate, but still very eye catching.  And I like that it can be worn pretty much anywhere.

~Batiste Dry Shampoo ($4): Not overly exciting, but I do love dry shampoo.  This stuff smells good works well.  I will stick it in my travel bag.

~Sage & Row Bare Shave Cream ($17): Am I the only one who doesn’t use shaving cream?  I never do!  But since this is included I will use it.

~Hammond’s Candies McCraw’s Flat Taffy ($1):  I am not totally sure what flavor this is, but I don’t know that it matters.  I can never taste the difference in Taffy flavors anyway.

All totaled I came up with a value of $114 for the May 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box.  I liked this box well enough and feel like I got my money’s worth, but it certainly wasn’t my favorite POPSUGAR box to date.

What do you think of the May box?  If you sign up now you can begin your subscription with the June 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have Box  (which is inspired by “Yoga-Warrior, Sun-Kissed, Outdoor Fun and Coconut”)! Jennifer,
You are not alone, I never use shaving cream.

I liked this box alot. As soon as it came the other day i filled the vase with my lily of the valley. the towel is very cute too. I dont use shave cream, they clog my razors. Soap does not.

I’m wondering if my box was delivered – this month it says “processing”
Heck I still have the Orange tube of shave gel from some box last summer?

I need to try to trade for another vase! Inspiration to paint a wall in my living room…

I don’t really use shaving cream either, and im not really sure why. My mother-in-law always gives us big stockings full of toiletries every year at Christmas and theres always shaving cream. I may use it a couple of times, then i just stick it in my bathroom cabinet And forget about it. I think soap or body wash works just as good, and I’ve actually read that one of the best things to shave with is conditioner. I’ve yet to try it though.

I loved this box! Also, that’s the grape flavor taffy:) I haven’t seen anyone get a different flavor but they do have flavors listed on the back and they have some interesting flavors available.

  6. Rose

My taffy is a pink, white and brown color.

Also, I want to state that in the information card it says the taffy has no artificial colors and flavors, however, the taffy they sent is completely artificial. For people with allergies, that’s important to note.

I really loved this box. The vase is beautiful, the towel is fun and the necklace is cute. The shaving cream looks interesting but I’m tossing the taffy–don’t need the calories.

I think this is the worst box I’ve received. The towel is thin & for what it is expensive. You can get Lilly Pultizer towels for that price! The vase, not a very spring-y color, i will be gifting that. The taffy, not a very exciting snack, but my kids will love it. I was super excited about the necklace, but when I put it on it’s a little too long even on the smallest ring. :(( I guess my favorite things in the box are the shave cream & dry shampoo. That’s sad. I hope next month’s box makes up for this one!!

I also never use shave cream! But if i did, this one looks great haha. I traded it for the Stephan Joseph dino wallet for my boy since he asked for it

I don’t use shaving cream either and not a dry shampoo fan. The beach towel came in handy because before I opened my box I had been saying oh I have to go later that day to get one for traveling. The vase I ended up giving to my mom who loves it.
