FAIR Treasure, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.

First Look

I never know what to expect from FAIR Treasure (they send all sorts of things), but this month looked great!

The Information Card

The April 2015 FAIR Treasure theme was “A Belated Holi Box” and included the following items created during this time (March 6th) in India:

~Acacia Creations: Recycled Paper Lantern: It took me a minute to figure out how to turn this into a lantern, but now that I have I think it’s the coolest thing.  I don’t quite know how the light (fuel?) fits in it, but I am sure B can figure that out.  It’s handmade in New Delhi out of “tree-free” paper products through their process of recycling cotton hosiery cuttings and and then dyeing, decorating and cutting the “paper” by hand.  Very cool!

~Raven and Lily – Neha Wristwear ($22): These are like no bangles I have ever seen.  They are handmade out of wood and have a piece of leather in the center to add a little sparkle.  No two bracelets are alike and are handmade in India in a small studio.

I couldn’t find a price on the lantern so I couldn’t do a breakdown on this box.  I really have been loving the wood pieces that Fair Treasure has been including lately though!  They do a great job mixing up the types of items they send as well.

I like that this is supporting a good cause by buying their products. I think the items would make unique gifts, especially with the info cards.

I love this month of Fair Treasure. I subscribed starting in February and this is my favorite month so far! I got a dark teal lantern with a copper design, totally my style. I got a single thicker cuff with silver leather. Does anyone want to swap for this one, if they got the two smaller bangles (in gold or silver)?http://www.ravenandlily.com/neha-wood-leather-cuff-silver/
Mine is beautiful but I think it would look better on a daintier wrist than mine.
