Dottiebox April 2015 Subscription Box

Dottiebox is a box curated every month for women. They feature high quality handmade items, small businesses, and indie brands. They offer their standard Dottiebox which is $26/month and a Dottiebox Mini subscription, which is $13/month. This review is for the full-sized Dottiebox and the Dottiebox Mini review will come later on in the month.

The Box

Dottiebox ships via USPS First Class Mail and takes just a few days to arrive to me.  The full-size Dottiebox generally ships in the first half of the month with the Dottiebox Mini shipping in the later half of the month.

Dottiebox releases the names of the vendors in the monthly boxes in advance, but you don’t necessarily know what items from that brand will be included.

The Information Card

The April 2015 Dottiebox included the following items:

~Studio 336 “Be Brave” Decal ($4.50): I looked at this and just assumed it was a wall decal.  But it actually is designed for your computer or iPad which is much better for me because I had no idea where I was going to put it on my wall.  It’s already on my laptop though.

~Pennie Post Farmers Market Watercolor Card Set ($8): Pennie Post actually has their own subscription service which I receive monthly.  Their cards are always high quality with gorgeous and fun designs. These post cards are fun for Spring and would also look cool framed in your kitchen.

~Philly Loves Lacquer Nail Polish (Siren Call) ($12): I looked at this about six times and kept reading it as “Phil Loves Lacquer”.  Who’s Phil and why does he love nail polish so much?  “Philly” makes much more sense. I would describe Siren Call as a Shimmery Rose Blush shade.  It looks reddish / orange in the bottle, but it’s a lot lighter in when you put it on.

~Jen Ramey Designs Wine Charms ($8): I have received some wine glass charms from Jen Ramey in the past, but these are a different design.  They are totally adorable, but I always forget to use them.  Maybe I need to put them in a little container next to the wine glasses in the cupboard so I don’t forget?

~Poppy & Elle Hair Tie ($1.50): Not much I can tell you about a hair tie.  It’s a fun color and I always have one on my wrist.

All totaled I came up with a value of $32 for the April 2015 Dottiebox.  Not my favorite Dottiebox, but I like the assortment of goodies they included.  Lots of variety!

I like the Pennie Post cards. This will be my first month in awhile where I am not receiving a Dottie box.

  2. Katie

The Pennie Post cards seem to be leftovers from the Pennie Post sub box from July 2014

Put your wine charms on your wine glasses before you put them away. Then your clean glasses always have a charm on them so no one gets their glasses confused with their neighbors.
