My March 2015 Stitch Fix, which is a personal styling service for women, arrived yesterday. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size, and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. There is a $20 styling fee that is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. And if you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

The Box

Stitch Fix ships via FedEx from San Francisco.  It generally takes under a week to arrive to me.  If you have automatic fixes scheduled, you will receive your package four weeks from your checkout date.

First Look

I always peek at my Stitch Fix after it ships, but it’s kind of a pointless because I can’t really see any of the items.  If you want to see too, you can go into your account once you get a tracking e-mail from Stitch Fix and click the little “Checkout” button.  It’ll show you a list of the names of the items in your Fix.  It doesn’t give colors or anything so it’s kind of hard to really tell what you are getting.

The Information Card

This is my 18th Fix!  That seems crazy, but I have been getting Stitch Fix for 18 months! Each Stitch Fix comes with an information card which includes a listing of everything in the box, prices, and then a total of how much everything would be if you kept it all (it deducts your $20 styling fee and the 25% discount for keeping all of your items).  Just to give you an idea, my box had a merchandise total of $276 and had I kept everything, I would have had to pay $204.80 (plus my $20 styling fee and that is taking into account the 25% discount you get for buying all of the pieces).  Here are the pieces I received:

~Look by M Nathan Tread Pattern Infinity Scarf ($28):  I couldn’t find this exact scarf online, but I found similar ones by this brand which were $28.95 and $32.95 so the $28 price point is perfect.  And so is this scarf.  It’s lightweight so it will be awesome for Spring – if it ever gets here!  Verdict: Kept.

~Liverpool Raphael Denim Jacket ($88): Some people look SO cute in denim jackets.  I look like I walked out of 1988.  I just don’t get it.  Anyway, I believe I owned a similar jacket in 1988 except mine was from The Gap.  Verdict: Returned.

~THML Colinda Sheer V-Neck Sweater ($58): I love the material of this sweater, the cut, the fit, everything except for that sheer neckline.  I would prefer it was just an open v-neck so I am not going to keep this one.  Verdict: Returned.

~Collective Concepts Lydia Floral Print Key-Hole Blouse ($68): I love the print on this shirt!  But for $68 I don’t know that I would wear it often enough to get my money’s worth.  Maybe if I still worked I’d get it because I would have loved this under a cardigan in the office.  Verdict: Returned.

~RD Style Shermineh Faux Leather Detail Pointe Pant ($34): OMG fancy leggings!  I love them! I don’t even know what else can be said about these.  They are perfect. And at $34?  Yes please. Verdict: Kept.

Although I only kept two items from this month’s Fix I am still really happy with it!  I love the pieces I kept and like I always mention, as long as I get my Styling Fee back (meaning I keep at least one item), I am happy.

Jen, I know this is not about Stitch Fix but I wanted to make you aware of something. I had cancelled my Verbal Fancy Box back in December and I was just charged today for a box and emailed. It was my understanding that they cancelled the boxes. I have emailed them and asked for an explanation, along with voicing my concern about the possibility of them being hacked. If you have been charged or know anything please let us know. Thanks!

Oh that is quite interesting! I need to check and see if I got any charges. I didn’t have the Verbal box but I had a few of the other ones I was subscribed to! I will let you know what I find!

Wish you would post some modeling pics. I think I want to pin/request that tank for my next fix but I’d like to see it on. Also, those leggings!!
