The Box

This is the second Pick-Me-Up box I have received.  I really liked the snacks included in the first one and was happy when I heard that they decreased the price from $24.99/month to $19.99/month.

First Look

This was a fun first look!  I was hungry when I opened this box and looking at these items made me even more hungry.

The Card

The information card is a little different than when I first tried the box, but it included information on all of the items inside which is all you really need on it!  The February 2015 Pick-Me-Up box included the following:

~Belgian Boys Choco Liege Wafel (~$1):  Mmm, delicious!  I had to sample this right away because it looked so good.  And it was.  I would expect nothing less from chocolate covered wafels though.

~Surf Sweets Organic Jelly Beans & Sour Berry Bears: L loves these!  And they are a better alternative to Sour Patch Kids and Jelly Beans which I like. These will go in his lunchbox this week for an extra special treat.

~Fancy Pants Baking Co. Be Mine Cookie ($3.99): I haven’t had this one yet, but it looks like the perfect cookie.

~The Cookie Departments Tough Cookie ($1.25): I haven’t gotten a cookie from The Cookie Department in ages and just love them.  The peanut butter one was very soft and it was like it just came out of the oven.  Perfectly baked and delicious.

~Alter Ego Salted Caramel Truffle (~$1): Salted caramel is the best thing that ever happened to sweets.  Seriously it’s the best combination ever.

I couldn’t do a full price break-down for this one, but I do know that I wish the value was higher.  It does make for a great Pick-Me-Up, but it would be even better if the value were increased!

Nice snacks, but yikes, not worth $20.

yet another company that tells me they don’t send out promotional boxes — apparently that only applies to certain people… for that reason, i will never subscribe

    24.00???? Holy moly? what a rip. : /

    1. Jennifer

      Sorry, I didn’t update it correctly. It’s $19.99!

  4. Brianna

Agreed – I would love a box like this for $5/month, but $20 is steep.

I guess I don’t view the Pick Me Up box as expensive or $19.99 as “steep”. I view the PMU box like my own personal shopper, doing research on yummy snacks that are all natural and delivering me an upscale surprise once a month.
I usually forget about my box, until the day it arrives, and OMG I am so excited when I see it.
I may be biased too because I have been a customer since day one and never once did I think it was too expensive, even when it was $24.99.
I appreciate the breakdown of price on this review but was the box, labeling, time spent, and shipping considered?
As a business owner, I would never publicly put down another. I realize this is an honest review and your suggestions are gentle, the comments jumped on the negativity and I think that is unfortunate. Especially when this business is brand new.
As a fellow blogger, I always try to support other bloggers and think this one does a good job but I disagree with this review and had to add my two cents. Thanks for reading 🙂

This all looks delicious!! Have heard about this box on social media and wanted to read some reviews before I decided to order it. I took a moment to do some research and see if the prices you posted were accurate, as I have read the reviews posted and there seemed to be some question. None of the prices you posted included the shipping of these items which seems can get pretty costly. As someone who relies on blogs/reviews like these to be accurate, this is a huge disappointment. After looking into it myself it seems like $20 for this box is a deal. I have never heard of or seen these snacks in stores and can’t wait to try them!

As a general rule I never include shipping in my prices.

    Why not?
