My January 2015 Hammock Pack arrived this afternoon and I couldn’t wait to open it up.

If you aren’t familiar with them, Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.

Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail.  They typically ship on the 25th of the month, but this month shipped a few days after that – possibly due to the storm on the East Coast? Not a big deal though because it’s here now.

I tried to find some spoilers on this one last night, but I came up empty handed.  I think that made me even more excited to actually get it in my hands and open it up.  I will admit, I like being spoiler free.  Sometimes.

The Information Card

The January 2015 Hammock Pack destination was “Tennessee” and included the following items:

~Willa’s Shortbread Butter Pecan Shortbread (Madison, TN) ($5.75): These are delicious.  I opened them up right away to test them out and I must say they are one of the best shortbread cookies I have ever had.  They are buttery and perfectly baked.  Very very good!

~Music City Suds Take Me Home, Country Rose Candle (Nashville, TN) ($12): I have received soap from Music City Suds in the past and they are great, but I am even happier with this candle!  It smells awesome and I love all the names of their products.  This is something I would have picked up if I were to visit Nashville.

~Olive and Sinclair Sea Salt Chocolate Bar (Nashville, TN) ($6.99): Do I even need to tell you how good this is?  Because it’s delicious.  Totally delicious.  Any combination of chocolate and sea salt is fine with me.

~Little Seed Farm Farmstead Milk Soap (Lebanon, TN) ($7): I received a lip salve from this brand in another box (the October 2014 Hazel Lane) and loved it.  Their soaps are hand poured and created right on the farm.  Charcoal soaps are my favorite and they are the ones I use up first.

All totaled I came up with a value of $31.74 for the January 2015 Hammock Pack. This box is never really an amazing “value”, but I am always happy with it.  I subscribe to this box totally on my own and just think they put together a unique and fun box.

What do you think of Hammock Pack?  What city / state would you like to see them do next?  I am still hoping for a “Detroit” themed box!  Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.

going box free for February (it’s hard…lol) but will be signing up for this one in March. I am most intrigued by the charcoal soap..have heard lots about it but never tried it before.

I pick Chicago. I like this box, but wish it was at a $25.00 pricepoint.

  3. I think there’s really good content in the box, but I wish the cost was lower. I was gonna say I’d want to see Vermont, but it looks like they already did that one! Maybe San Francisco?
