Today I’m smiling because:
~I got my Christmas cards ordered, delivered and out the door in a matter of days. I was going to do New Year’s Cards, but at the last minute I changed my mind. Christmas Cards it is!
~L was SO excited when favorite cousin (“G”) showed up last night to surprise him last night!
~Due to my slacking lately I decided to be proactive and also ordered labels for L’s Valentine’s and Halloween goodies bags for next year when I ordered my Christmas cards. I going to be on top of things in 2015! Â Well. Maybe.
~There’s a chance for snow next week so we may get a white Christmas!
~My gift from my Reddit Secret Santa is on it’s way! Â I am looking forward to seeing what they picked out!
~He still needs a little practice, but WB is getting quite good at the art of the Selfie!
~L is on Christmas break which means sleeping in and baking cookies and no making lunches for two weeks!
~My Christmas tree hasn’t tipped over yet this year! Â Perhaps that’s because we have wised up and now tie it to the banister. Â I am guessing that fake trees don’t tip over do they? Â Real ones do! Â And the water spills all over your floor and mixes with the broken glass from the ornaments and pine needles. Good times. Â LOL!!!!!!!

It is snowing here this morning. The kids woke us all up to make sure we knew. LOL I have cards here but they are not out yet. We have our first Christmas with my family today so I’ll work on them next and hopefully they will go out on Monday. 😉

I keep reading the Reddit Santa postings, and have no clue how it works other than Secret Santa with strangers. It sounds like some people got some amazing gifts (can’t wait to hear what you get ), and that a lot of people get Scrooged too. Anyway, I think for 2015 you should consider hosting a Secret Santa for your blog readers. I think it would be fun exchanging with people who already have common interests, subs and your blog. :). Just a thought.
I think it just depends on your luck. I get shafted like half the time, but some people have really good swappers. Someone got matched with bill gates this time. And I think like Alyssa Milano was a participant as well.
I saw what Bill Gates sent! That crazy hat thing. I wouldn’t have even known what it was, but it would have been cool to receive something from him!
That would be super fun! I would have to totally figure out a way to make sure that everyone got something though! I’d feel bad if someone didn’t get anything!
As for Reddit, I don’t really know that I care too much what I get. I had fun sending out my package and figuring out what to send my person! I will totally report back on what I get though!
Okay so redditgifts rant since no one else I know does it. I spend so much time carefully picking out stuff and I know it’s my own fault for spending way too much money, but I am a total gift giver. I love giving, which is why I still participate. But honestly, I have been shafted about 50% of the time. and then it also seems like one ever reads into my likes and such. They did an everyday carry, I put girly items for my purse and I got a Swiss army multi tool. For this one, I got a couple card games that I don’t think will ever get played. To be honest, I haven’t used any of the items that I have gotten in these exchanges. Sorry forthe long and Scrooge like post, I don’t care if someone only spends like 5 bucks on me, just put in some effort and do a little research on what I want. rant over, sorry.
No one (other than people on here anyway) does it either, so I like having people to talk to about it too! What card games did you get? I hope my person likes their stuff!
One called the resistance and one called flux. I haven’t really heard of them before. It’s not that I wouldn’t love to play anything new I just don’t know if I can convince anyone else too. We usually stick to dominoes and phase 10.
