Threaded Canvas, who kindly sent me this for review, was started by a group of art lovers from Indiana with the goal of giving the gift of art to a larger audience around the world. Each month you will receive three art tees, one art print, and three small art collectibles. We scour the internet in search of the most elite artists from all over the world. Each artist is unique in their abilities but they all share one unique trait: they create phenomenal works of art.

First Look

The shirts in Threaded Canvas are usually a bit bolder than B and I would normally pick, but they are a fun change of pace!

The Information Card

Threaded Canvas doesn’t have a stated theme and instead includes the following collection of creations which were individually designed by an independent artist and then printed by the TC team:

~Roots Grow Deep, Birds Fly High by Studio 1 ($25): I thought this was the wildest shirt of the bunch, but it’s actually the one B wore first.  It is my favorite of the three images, but the aqua shirt makes it seem to bright!

~Its Not An Owl by Okalinicjenko ($24): Nope, it’s not an owl, it’s an eagle!  I am guessing that this will be the next one B wears.

~8 Tentacles in the Deep Blue by Studio 1 ($25): This looks super familiar, but I don’t think I have ever received it before. I like the ombre look

~Blue Tailed Bee Eaters Art Print by Boyan Dimitrov ($15): B didn’t see this as I was unboxing it, but he saw this picture when I was getting the post ready and seemed really interested in it.  The colors are fun and bright and it is a really cool print.

All totaled  I came up with a value of about $90 for the December 2014 Threaded Canvas box.  The shirts are Threaded Canvas exclusives, so this is the only place you can get them!

I either loved or hated this subscription. One box was missing the extras, another included a shirt in a color I specifically asked them to not send, and two shirts so creeped me out that I cut away the design and threw them in the rag bin. The octopus above would have met that fate. Glad I canceled.

Sounds like they have some shipping issues to work out!

Have you gotten t-shirts from Threadless or Teefury? If so, how would the quality (softness) of these Threaded Canvas t-shirts compare? Thanks! 😀

I have gotten kids ones from Threadless. They were really thin. Like onesie like almost! I would describe this as like a thicker version of a Hanes shirt.

Love the designs on the t-shirts.

I signed up for a 3 month subscription and had trouble with delivery for 2 of the 3 months. Okay, I understand delivery issues, but when they obfuscated (lied, actually) about the reason for the delivery issue (usps was nut updating the information – when actually the boxes hadn’t even been shipped) I cancelled. The shirts are great quality, but the colors they continued to send me were pretty horrible. Lots of yellow (ugh), and green (double ugh). I would have been happier with more neutrals. I ended up giving away all but 1 of the 9 shirts I received int he 3-month period.

I think a black, a great and a white every month would be good. I might just be a little boring though??

Only received 5 out of 12 boxes for a years subscription (paid shipping, I’m in the UK).

Have received a bunch of other things I ordered from America and from all around the world, really, so at a loss why their product is unique in not reaching me.

A couple of the designs cracked in the wash too, but really that’s overshadowed by fact we have received less than half the order and that customer service can’t be bothered to respond to customer queries.
