My November 2014 ipsy arrived over the weekend and it’s always fun to see that pink envelope in the mail!

If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it.

ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail and took just under a week to arrive.  Sometimes it just takes a few days and sometimes it’s nearly two weeks.  You just never know with DHL!

ipsy posts “Glam Rooms” on the 10th of the month so you can peek and find out what you are getting. The past few months they have also been doing early sneak peeks (you have to share on Facebook though) around the 5th of so of the month.  I do love those extra early looks!

The Card

The November 2014 ipsy theme is “Girl Meets Glitter” and included the following items to give you a little sparkle wherever you go:

~Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base (Submissive) ($14): I wasn’t overly excited when I saw this in my Glam Room, but I really liked it in person.  The color is fabulous and is exactly what I would have picked for myself.

~Elizabeth Mott you’re so FINE Eyeliner ($17.99): I think the packaging on this is awesome, but I am not a fan of eyeliner as you know.  I will pass this one along to a friend.

~J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint ($4.99): This is a bit too much color for me personally.  I might be able to might be able to mix it with something to make it work, but I don’t know.  This may just be a miss.

~Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder + Mini Fan Brush (~$20): I couldn’t find an exact price on this so I had to estimate.  Anyway, this is fabulous. I don’t think I have ever gotten Laura Mercier in a subscription box before and it just feels so fancy.  Send us all more ipsy!!

~Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray ($1.38): I can always use a travel sized hairspray.  I thought it worked well without weighing my hair down and I liked the smell.

~The Bag: Oh, I love the bag this month!  It’s glittery and sparkly and just a cute bag.  This is for sure one I will be keeping.

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $58.36 for my November 2014 ipsy Glam Bag.  Even if I overestimated the Laura Mercier, that is still a crazy valuable bag for only $10!  To say I am happy would be an understatement.  Totally a great ipsy this month for me.

Did you get this month’s ipsy bag? What variations did you get? And what’d you think? If you are interested in subscribing or interested in learning more, click here.

Did you get the first Sample Society box after the relaunch? There was Laura Mercier highlighter in there, wasn’t there?

(I know, it must be really hard to keep track of when you get as many boxes as you do. I don’t get half as many and I have trouble…)

    1. Jennifer

Ohh, you are totally right! That did have Laura Mercier item!

  2. HeatherP

I really like your bag. I also got the lip color and could not pull that off but my SIL saw it and swiped it up and it looked amazing on her!! Win. And did you see the holiday glossybox???? I bought it. I think it was made just for me. Im in love with it. Idc if any coupons come out now. Ill buy another then!!! Cant wait for your post on it later!! WIN WIN WIN. WOOHOO!!!

I was hoping for the Laura Mercier. I love her cosmetics but they aren’t some I buy all the time so getting in a box would be great. I hope we start seeing some more from here in boxes. And I’m still holding out for Ipsy to have a warehouse sale. LOL of course if they do I’m sure it will be the one day I’m out of country or something. If you ever see anything make sure to let me know. 😉

I will. That would be so awesome if they had a warehouse sale!

Do you all have a special place to store your Ipsy bags?

    1. Lauren

I have a little wicker chest in my bedroom where I keep all my bags. I use them for everything!

    2. Jennifer

I don’t keep them all. I give some to friends with makeup in them. I also use some to organize my purse with.

I got the lip paint too, and I was really surprised at how much I liked it! I thought the color was going to be a little to crazy for me, but it actually looked good on me (at least I think so 🙂 ). A little bit definitely goes a long way! And if you leave it on your lips for a while and then blot, it kind of looks like a stain, which I love!

    1. Bonnie

That is how I used the lip paint. I was really hoping for the darker color, I think it would have looked better on me and would have been different than the variations of fushia I keep getting.

  6. Becky

I also got the eye base and the hairspray. I love the eye base! It’s subtle but a really nice color. Haven’t used the hairspray yet. I got the OPI nail polish which is fun, S/B highlighter which I probably won’t use much, and the clarisea face cleanser (haven’t tried it yet)

  7. Bonnie

I got the same bag. I was excited to try the lip paint, I plan to buy more colors. I already have that shade of eye base and tested them against eye tattoo and avons swirl base. Beabombshell averaged highest in creaminess versus longevity. So at least I have a quality product to share. I’m probably going to pass on the eyeliner as well. Mainly as I have several black liquid eyeliners and a separate glitter one. I might have kept it if I didn’t already have the eye base and an extra Julep mascara to complete a set. I just used the hair spray and I love it. The setting powder is something new to me and perfect for my work bag. They are all great products and mostly the perfect shades. The color on the lip paint was a little too pink, but still wearable

  8. Kelsey

i love that liquid eye liner! is there anything in a recent birchbox or ipsy that you’d maybe like to trade for?? 🙂

  9. Jen

I got the Be A Bombshell eye base, J Cat lip tint and the hair spray like you but I also got the Starlooks eye pencil and the Temptu Highlighter. I was really hoping for the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye so I might have to grab that with the Ipsy deal this month. I got 4 out of 5 makeup items so I was pleased this month.

  10. Jewel

I’m wondering if ipsy is secretly sending us the stuff we don’t have checked in our little quiz to have us try new things! I know nail polish and facial cleansers definitely weren’t checked but that’s what I got. You always seem to get eyeliners and lipsticks too. hmmm

    1. Jennifer

This made me laugh!!! I have often wondered that too! If there is an eyeliner option, I usually get it.

  11. MITCH

I really like the glitter makeup pouch!
