The Boodle Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of adorable accessories and beauty products that encourage girls of all ages (boxes are broken down into a 5-10 age group and a 11+ age group) to uncover new things and discover themselves in the process! This box is for the 11+ box, but honestly, I am a grown-up (I guess) and I think this box is fun for all ages!

Even before I opened the tissue paper I could tell what the theme of this months box was and loved it.  It was perfectly seasonal and everything looked very fun!

The Information Card

The July 2014 The Boodle Box was red, white and blue themed and included the following items to help you enjoy the sweet days of summer with a pop of color & sparkle:

~Red, White & Blue Soap Essence of O ($7): How cute is this? It’s a pikake essence bar soap that smells amazing and is just too cool.  L is going to love this.  B picked it up and looked like he might even try and steal it away himself.  I won’t let it happen though because I know how neat L will think it is.

~Americana 3-in-1 Nail Pen ($1.67) & Ritzy Nail Striping Tape ($6): I used to be under the impression that people got these amazing nail designs and things on their nails just by free handing it.  Wrong.  It’s the nail strips and pens like this that make it happen.  At least for most people anyway. I need to sit down and see what kind of 4th of July / flag manicure I can put together.

~Wet n Wild White Icing Body Shimmer ($2.99): Fun glitter / shimmer you can put on for the 4th!  Or any other time.  What girl doesn’t want to sparkle?

~Hot Huez Hair Chalk ($9.95): If it’s “As Seen on TV” I must have it.  This must be instilled at a young age because L is the same way.  He loves those infomercials.  I can assure you that if I was a tween / teen I would have NEEDED this hair chalk.  Like needed.

~NicNic Jewelry Love Anchor Infinity Bracelet ($19.99): The card says that this retails for $7.99, but online it says $19.99, so I am going with the online price.  Looking at this I realized that I should have taken a picture of this on my wrist, but it didn’t even occur to me at the time.  I love the navy and white combination and it will take you long past the 4th of July this summer.

~Konjac Puff Organic Face Sponge ($12.50): I really like Konjac sponges and how they make my skin feel.  Julep has a great one too.  I never know exactly how to store them though.  Does anyone have any ideas?

All totaled I came up with a value of $60.10 for the July 2014 The Boodle Box.  And once again I thought this box was fabulous.  It’s $29.99/month (and is even less if you purchase a longer subscription) and would make an amazing gift for your daughter, niece, etc.  I know I would have loved this when I was younger.  Heck, I even love it now!

I would have loved it when I was like 12. Incredible!

My daughter would love this. Do you know of any boxes geared towards boys around 11 or 12 years old? I’ve already looked at nerd box and loot crate but he wouldn’t be interested.

Now that is a hard one. Other than Nerd Block and Loot Crate, I cannot think of a “fun” one for boys that age. Someone needs to come out with one!
