It’s time for another Thursday Thoughts! If you want to participate, but have no idea what a link-up is, you can check out my explanation of it here.

~This week is so dragging. It’s probably because I wasn’t feeling so hot, but it’s been kicking my butt. I am feeling WAY better though, thanks to some allergy medication and lots of sleep! Let’s just hope these next few days fly by!

~O.M.G. guess what came in the mail yesterday? Our Snackeez cups! L has been talking about these things non-stop for weeks and I was so excited for him to get home from school so he could use it. Unlike many of the As Seen on TV items, this thing works. It’s actually perfection in a cup. I am glad I ordered ones for B and I too. LOL! The kids loved them. And I hear that they are now sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond! Someone on Instagram posted the got one there and a Facebook friend of mine went yesterday to check it out and picked some up! She said they JUST got them in. Totally worth it. Get some.

Snackeez!
Snackeez!

~I am still expecting a few boxes this week including  Julep, NewBeauty TestTube, Mary’s Secret Ingredients, a JewelMint VIP Box and a Plated. I forgot to get Plated last week and thought B was going to cry.  LOL!

~I don’t even know where to begin, but I feel like we should talk about it.  That Allure Summer Beauty Box sale the other day?  What a cluster!  First it was loading a blank screen, then it would load and say coming soon, then it was a blank screen, etc.  It wasn’t until after 1pm that some people finally started getting through.  I got through around that time using a backdoor link (it went directly to the checkout) someone posted on MUT.  It was probably live for all of 5 minutes.  I don’t think this has ever happened before with an Allure box and I hope it doesn’t happen for everyone trying again next Tuesday!!

~Have you all seen this video of these 5th grade boys who did a Synchronized Swimming routine for their elementary talent show?  OMG it’s awesome.  I was cracking up yesterday when I watched it!

~I finally started watching the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County last night and while I can’t even believe I watch that crap, I also cannot stop watching that crap.  I think when I grow up I want to be Heather.  That new house?  Sounds amazing.  I can’t even imagine.

~What book are you reading these days?  I am finishing my current one and need some fresh recommendations.  Think total and complete chic lit.  Easy beach reads (not that I will be reading them at the beach).  Anything amazing you’ve read recently?

Maybe this?
Maybe this?

~I finally updated the “Coupon Codes” tab so if you are looking for a code, head over there and take a look!  As always, if I am missing any, let me know!  And finally, if you aren’t subscribed to my Weekly Newsletter (it’s back), what are you waiting for!  You are missing out on giveaways in there.  I’m just saying.

That’s about all for now.  I will be back in a few with the May box reveals for Hampton’s Lane and Bespoke Post and will have Fabletics selections, etc.!   Have a great Thursday!

I spent way too much time Tuesday on that Allure mess. I took my lunch at that time in order to get it. Luckily we were slow so I kept refreshing after clocking back in and finally got through on the link from here that you provided. I think I tried again after I bought and it was down already. People on their facebook were so angry especially that its offered to non subscribers it seems. I am pretty sure they will end up blocking that link to Allure at work now though.

I really like Janet Evanovich. Her Stephanie Plum series is great. Her new series the Heist is good too. Also, I can do Nora Roberts books. I tend to like her supernatural books more. My new favorite series is by Darinda Jones. Its a grim reaper series, but she is a Private Investigator who solves the deaths of the ghosts who come to her.

I am cracking up that you think it will be a banned link at work now. That is so funny. At least you got this one. You don’t have to worry about it again for a few months!

  2. that was a total cluster. my internet was down during that whole 5 minutes, so i missed it. now i am REALLY COMMITTED to this box.

I honestly would have lost my mind had my interest went out. I was afraid to even get the mail during that that 1.5 hours. I thought it would sell out in the minute it would have taken me to get out there.

  3. I didn’t try to get an allure box. If you use the products, it is a great value. I have so much of a stockpile right now though…it wouldn’t have made sense for me to buy it! Besides, I am pretty picky and I would have only used 5 things from the box. Maybe. What a headache, though.
I haven’t read any chic lit lately. I tend to read regency-era fiction and historical fiction, fantasy and even young adult novels when I need a break from serious literature.

    1. Jennifer

Oh my stockpile is just crazy. Crazy!

I am reading the outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.. again. It was sooooo good. there are 8 books in the series all awesome. The new one is coming out in june. I would recommend this book to everyone it has everything. Love, lust, adventure, humor…. all of it. you can find the 7 book you can find it here http://www.amazon.com/The-Outlander-Series-7-Book-Bundle-ebook/dp/B009C9C77E/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1398952455&sr=8-4&keywords=outlander+series
It is basically about a world war II English nurse that go through a portal of sorts to 1700 Scotland. I is an extensive series but so worth reading.

    1. Jennifer

That sounds like a commitment! I am not a big fan of books set in the past (so weird of me I know), but I will check it out!

    2. Mrs. L

They are doing a TV series on the books and it’s supposed to be pretty good (There are “teaser” trailers online). Comes out this summer. Trying to decide if I need to read the books first!

  5. Griffin

I just finished reading the first two books in the Selection series by Kiera Cass. It’s technically teen lit, but I loved them! Quick reads and super fun!

    1. Jennifer

I can do Teen Lit! Thanks!

This is my first time ever hearing about Snackeez. They look perfect for the 3 hour drive to grandma’s house with my son. I guess that means mama’s going shopping. I love chick lit. Three of my favorite chick lit books are “Jemima J” by Jane Green, “The Brightest star in the sky” by Marien Keyes, and “Stupid and Contagious” by Caprice Crane. You should check them out if you haven’t read them already. I’ll have to check out the book you just completed.

    1. Jennifer

Seriously they are awesome. And OMG, Jemima J is like my favorite book. Such a good one! I need to check into those other two!

    1. Jennifer

I will have to check that one out!

      1. Sabrina Foust

It is such a good series. A friend of mine turned me on to it.

        1. Michelle R

I’m so excited the next book comes out this month!

  7. Elizabeth

I love Emily Giffin’s books. I didn’t realize she has a new one out.

    1. Jennifer

      She’s awesome.

  8. Shannon

I actually got a box with the other site that popped up. The /beautybox instead of /summer. I am so glad they are honoring it.

    1. Jennifer

      SO glad they honored it!

  9. Mrs. L

Did you ever read Where’d You Go Bernadette? Still my favorite book over the last couple of years. Our next book club book is “The Wife, The Maid, and The Mistress” LOL. I’m still looking for some simple, fun paperback reads to take with me to Hawaii. I need a good book for sitting on the beach with a Mai-Tai! Maybe Jenna J which you guys alluded too earlier??

    1. Jennifer

How about I bring the book and you bring me to Hawaii. Fair???

  10. mspotts

I’m not sure if you have a kindle, but they are offering The Not So Secret Emails Of Coco Pinchard: A Funny, Feel-Good Romantic Comedy, for free. I am not normally a chic lit person, but this was so entertaining. A little like Bridget Jones’s Diary.

    1. Jennifer

I do not, but for some reason I feel like I can download kindle books on my iPad?

      1. mspotts

I think you can if you have the amazon app for it.

  11. Shanna S

Have you read the Shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella? They are fun books, great Chic Lit. I love her other books too though oddly I don’t like the ones she wrote under her real name. There are several Shopaholic ones so they would keep you busy a little while!

    1. Jennifer

OMG yes. I have read (and loved) all of those. That is totally my kind of read though. TOTALLY!

  12. Lauren

Omg the snackeez!!! My boy whom are the same age as yours, are beyond OBSESSED! ! Thx so much for turning us on to them and the head up that there at bed bath and beyond!!

    1. Jennifer

Did you find them?? My mom went today and picked up a few more for this summer at our cottage. They are SO cool!!!!

      1. Lauren

Yes!! Auburn Hills had a bunch, and I was able to use multiple coupons! !! Yay
