First Look

The first look was very interesting and I was anxious to dig in and see what everything was.  GlobeIn doesn’t include a general information card, but includes individual information cards on each of the products in the box.  Here is what I received:

~Maya Gonzalez Woven Bag ($80): I pulled this out of the box first and thought it was a hat. LOL!  It took me a minute to realize I needed to flip it around because it was a bag!  It’s takes over a month to make every bag and is made by loom-free weaving.  So cool!

~Khokhloma Matryoshka Dolls ($2.59): I have always thought these nesting dolls were so cool and my kids are also amazed with them. Such a simple toy, but so fun!

~Adberrahmane Oubassour Soap (~$5): I don’t know that I have ever seen a soap that is SO pink!  It’s made in Morocco’s famous “Rose Valley” and contributes vital income to the valley’s 12,000 residents.  I am going to let the kids use this because I know they will get a kick out of the bright pink color.

All totaled I came up with a value of $87.59 for the May 2014 GlobeIn Artisan Gift Box.  I thought this was a great value (boxes are $29.99/month) and loved the uniqueness of the items they included!

Whoa! I love this! It also came with the little basket, right? What a great sub! I love the nesting dolls. When I went to the Czech Republic, I saw this HUGE one I wanted so much, but it was super expensive. I settled for a smaller, easier to pack version.

Yes! I should have mentioned that. It was all packaged in that little basket.

Love the GlobeIn Box. We’ve been subscribing, along with a few other boxes, for about five months now. The kids love it, and I at least feel like it’s good for them because (a) they learn about a different country every month and (b) it’s not a box full of so-called healthy treats that are really just junk food (you hear me Nature Box?). 🙂 Seriously, this is my fav subscription so far. We’ve got some friends getting married this coming month … who haven’t registered anywhere… so annoying 😉 … and we’re thinking about just gifting them a six month’s subscription. Anyway, can’t say enough good things … about the project and about the stuff.

Beautiful items! Is this the jewelry, decor or home accessories option?

It was a review one so I am not 100% sure??? It may be the combination option??
