It’s time for another Thursday Thoughts! If you want to participate, but have no idea what a link-up is, you can check out my explanation of it here.

~I had kind of hoped it would happen and it did, we got a Snow Day yesterday (that’d be #8 since we went back after winter break in case you are counting)!  Things are back to normal around here today though and it’s supposed to be a balmy 40+ degrees tomorrow, so that’s good.   But it was so cold and windy yesterday that we couldn’t even play in the snow.  All this snow and these kids can’t even enjoy it.  We know have two snow days to make up, which will likely be tacked on to the end of the school year.  They were suppose to get out on a Wednesday so I would assume they’ll just get out on a Friday now and that’s fine with me.

Snow Day!
Snow Day!

~I did a little thredUP shopping last night (#obsessed) and learned that they are launching “thred UP X” this Spring which is going to be for pre-owned Premium & Designer brand clothing! I am going to give it a go and send in a few old Kate Spade bags I have around here along with a few “fancy” dresses I have no use for anymore. Totally curious to see how this works out (and of course I will report back).

~I didn’t get any mail yesterday because of the snow I guess, but hopefully some will arrive today! I am expecting Lip Factory, Love With Food, ipsy, Birchbox and my Julep Mystery Box has shipped, but I don’t know that it will arrive this week.  Oh Citrus Lane should be arriving soon as well.  I have shipping notifications for a few other ones as well, but I don’t think they will be coming until early next week.

~I am a total sucker for seasonal pictures for the kids, so of course I want to do Easter pictures.  Tell me, where can I get some pastel colored or white pants for the boys? For not a ton of money?  I ALWAYS do jeans or khakis for the boys and I want to mix it up a bit this time.

And I am a sucker for a chevron background ;)
And I am a sucker for a chevron background 😉

~B doesn’t know it yet (well he sort of does but he doesn’t know I am so serious abut it), but I so want to go to the outlet malls this weekend.  The Pottery Barn outlet is calling my name.  Can’t you hear it?  GAPKids is too.  And some store that sells sheets.  They are calling my name too.  We need new sheets in the worst way.  I hate paying a ton for them, but I also like them to be fabulous.

~I caught up on this week’s Teen Mom last night and well, I knew those warm fuzzies between Barbara and Jenelle wouldn’t last!  I too am curious why Nathan is with Jenelle, but I have to admit he’s a huge step above, umm, every other guy she’s dated.  My favorite Teen Mom “characters” as always were Randy (Chelsea’s Dad) and Jeff (Corey’s Dad).  Love those two.  And whatever, I’m not going to lie, I now follow @PapaRandlicious on Twitter.  LOL!!!

What’s going on for your Thursday?  Do you have any weekend plans?  Let me know and of course, link-up!

I wish you could be my personal Gap Kids shopper! You always find the best deals there! 🙂

    1. Jennifer

I always go straight to the clearance rack!

  2. Pottery Barn sells sheets. I haven’t been watching much TV because I have been finishing a book. My husband and I have been watching our Friends DVDS for the 5th or 6th time. Yesterday, he had CNN on because of all the terrible things going on in the world with the lost plane, the explosion in NYC and the problems in Ukraine. I have a few of my favorite shows on dvr waiting to watch (The Originals and Reign). Maybe I can watch today while I ride the bike or fold laundry.
Have fun outlet shopping! I wish I could go! Our nearest outlets are a couple of hours away (probably a good thing), and we are saving money for our trips. I am trying not to shop too much with all the expenses coming up.

    1. Jennifer

Ours are maybe 1.5 hours away? Not a bad drive, but far enough to keep me out of trouble!

    1. Jennifer

All the more reason for me to go to the outlets this weekend because I NEED those green pants and they don’t have L’s size online!!!

Gap has some really cute colorful boy’s khakis. 30% off there, too.

        1. Jennifer

Ohhh, thank you! I think I just got they rF&F for 40% off!

    1. Jennifer

Ohh, those shorts are great! I never thought about doing shorts.. Those may be much easier to find in a pastel.

      Thanks!

So we have had 14 snowdays this year. 6 are built into the schedule which leaves 8 to make up. They took away President’s day and a teacher work day the kids were suppose to be out for so that gave us back two. Then they made two early dismissals into full days to make up for some of the many late starts we have had. Now they have made the decision that starting Monday through the end of the year in June, school will be 25 minutes longer in the afternoon. This will ensure that the days will be made up and that Spring break will still be 5 days long and that they will get Memorial Day off. Crazy! I think maybe it’s effective for the elementry schoolers, but the middle and high schoolers will just be adding 5 minutes to each class. I mean, really what can you do with 5 minutes extra in a class?

    1. Jennifer

OMG 14 snow days! That is crazy! Yeah, that 5 extra minutes per class isn’t going to be too helpful! They’d never be able to take away any of our half days or teacher prep kind of days because of union rules. Maybe they will add to the school day though. That would be okay.

      Thanks!!

That Cow Wow milk was in one of the (late, lamented) Goodies Kids boxes! My son (now 3 1/2) devoured it immediately when it arrived! I think you can get it on Amazon too?

    1. Jennifer

I do not remember that! I do miss that box though.

  5. Lisa

Sorry, the Cow Wow milk comment above was supposed to go on the page with your What I’m Loving Wednesday post, which I just read today. What I wanted to post here is that I sent a huge bag of old handbags to ThredUp — they accepted the Gucci and Coach but none of the four mint condition Kate Spade nylon. Good thing I paid for Return Assurance.

  6. Cheryl

LOVE Randy & Jeff! I need to start following them on Twitter lol.

    1. Jennifer

      Yes! They are awesome.

  7. Alexia561

Looking forward to the Easter pictures! Maybe bribe WB with Starbucks hot chocolate if he promises to smile? 😉

    1. Jennifer

He’s not overly bribable! He just doesn’t care. But there will be a bunny and he’ll like that!

  8. Nicole

I saw some pastel pants at Old Navy for like $12 the other day.

    1. Jennifer

      Ohhh, that would be perfect!

    1. Jennifer

He’s cute! And I assume he smells??

      1. Shelby

Yes they do! There’s a little zipper pouch in the back that place a scent pak in.

There’s a ‘Jumpin Jelly Bean’ scent – perfect for kids!
