Lip Factory Inc, who kindly sent me this box to review, is an exclusive, affordable, makeup subscription service. Most months Lip Factory sends a mixture of cosmetic products, but every four months they do their “All About the Lips” box. The last one was in November, so the next one should be in March.
Lip Factory ships USPS First Class Mail and took 4 days to arrive to me (in MI) from them (in FL). I always say it, but I need to do a test and ship boxes – all the same weight – from here to CA using all of the different shipping methods and see what gets there faster and compare the costs! USPS is generally pretty quick I do know that.
Lip Factory ships a box in a box. I decided (on my own) that it’s probably to make sure nothing breaks or is damaged in shipment. And it seems to be working because everything I have gotten has been fine.
I always seem to get my Lip Factory in the first batch of boxes sent out, so there wasn’t any spoilers out there yet on this one. A totally blind first look!
I couldn’t tell if the January 2014 Lip Factory Beauty Kit had a theme. The card just said “Happy New Year” and the box included the following items:
~29 Cosmetics Preserves Skin Care Collection Grape Seed Protection Sample ($4): I swear I have gotten this somewhere before, but I cannot figure out where (and it’s driving me crazy). I liked it though and I’ll use it again.
~TEEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Mysterious Crystal Eyeliner (Lovely Lapis Lazuli) ($16): I don’t know about blue eyeliner for me, but I know I can find this a good home. Everyone says it’s easily wearable, which is likely true because I think it looks good on everyone – except me.
~Bodyography: Electric Lip Slides (Passion Sorbet) ($19): Now this is a lip gloss!!! The packaging made me think it had a tip applicator, but it’s actually a wand. This color is fabulous and the gloss isn’t sticky at all. Oh and it did smell like sorbet when I put it on!
~Be A Bombshell Cosmetics The One Stick (Southern Belle) ($16): As the name suggests, this an all-in-one stick and can be used on the cheeks, lips or eyes. Southern Belle is described as a warm coral with light shimmer and while I never thought coral was for me, I like this!
~TEEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Island Palette Eyeshadow (Kaleidoscope) ($16): I can handle purple eyeshadow better than blue liner, so I am leaning towards keeping this one. Plus, the packaging is just so amazing. It’s gorgeous! I’ve also never heard of this company before, but it looks like they have some really cute stuff!
All totaled I came up with a value of $71 for the January Lip Factory Beauty Kit! I didn’t love this box as much as I loved the previous month’s box (I really really loved that one), but, as always, Lip Factory is an incredible value! It’s only $22/month ($26/month if you are in Canada), and as usual, is amazing value.

Hi Jennifer-Do you have a referal code we should be using for LipFactory? Signing up but can’t find yours. 🙂 Thanks!
No referral link! I hope you love it!
I got that same same skin sample kit in a Birchbox once!
Maybe that is where it came from? I cannot find it!
I still haven’t gotten mine, was hoping it would show up Saturday but no joy, wah wah. I haven’t used my one-stick that I received from Ipsy yet, so it will be interesting to see what color I get. Lip Factory usually does an excellent job of matching me with the perfect shade, although last month they sent me the neutral j-cat palette which I ended up trading for the brights.
Boo! Now you have to wait until Tuesday!!!
