The (little) boys and I had a busy day today, but happily took a break from the crazy to open up the December Stork Stack that arrived today!

December Stork Stack
The Box

Stork Stack ships via USPS (through some other handling service), but USPS delivers it. It was the only subscription box (and the only good mail) I received today, so I was quite pleased to see it.

Stork Stack now sends their information cards in the shipping e-mails and you can opt to click to get the information card and get spoiler prior to the arrival of your box or you can just read the e-mail and get your tracking number and resist the temptation to click. You know I peeked.

The December Stork Stack theme was “Toy Chest Stack” and included goodies to spoil the little ones with extra playthings and make it a fun-filled stack! Here is what our box, which I get for WB who is 20-months old, included:

~Melissa and Doug Giraffe Grasping Toy ($9.99): I was expecting this toy to be much small than it is!  I am quite pleased it is nice and big and think it will make a great car toy.  I have a cloth bin full of toys in there for WB (we are in and out of the car ALOT) and like to throw some fresh things in there every once in a while.  Now, he would never just sit on the living room floor and play with this, but in the car, yeah, that works.

~Cloud B Lovie (Turtle) ($9.95): I feel like this is a little young for WB.  Then again, he doesn’t have a lovie yet (not unless you count wooden trains), so maybe he’ll take to this? I would have preferred something else though that he could play with.

~Edushape Sensory Ball ($4): We have a few of these (maybe even from prior Stork Stacks?) and they are big hits here.  L likes them and so does WB.  I

~Honest Kids Juice ($1): You do get thirsty when you play hard so I thought this was a cute addition.  We buy these and like them so this was a great item. I will probably use this for one of L’s lunches because WB would squeeze this and make a giant mess if I turned my eye for one second ;).

~Pretzel Crisps (Mom Treat) ($1): I love pretzel crisps and always appreciate their appearance in boxes.  With hummus they are even better.  WB actually has a thing for them too (with or without hummus), so these are awesome.

All totaled I came up with a value of $25.94 for the December Stork Stack.  Totally not my favorite Stork Stack ever.  I am hoping that next month is a better one for sure.  I do feel like it kind of goes in cycles.  One month you’ll get an AMAZING box and the next month it’s just meh.

Did you get Stork Stack this month? What’d you think? What was in your Stack and what age is your little one? And if you don’t subscribe and are interested in signing up or just want to learn more, click here and use the coupon code “popup20” to get 20% off your first Stack!

We received our first stork stack box this month. I signed up last month after receiving multiple reviews online (including your great website!) My LO is 14 months old and I was kind of disappointed with the box. We loved the sensory ball (didn’t have one) but we got two different rattles (melissa and doug penguin rattle, cloud b sheep rattle)! She’s kind of old for two rattles.

Two different rattles? That seems like too many in one box! I wouldn’t have been overly excited about that either.

Ours is scheduled to arrive today. My daughter is 11 months old, but I aged her up to 13 months with Stork Stack to hopefully avoid receiving products she has outgrown or will outgrow quickly. I am receiving the same box the misolee descibes in her comment. I am pretty uphappy about it including one rattle, let alone two! The sensory ball will be great, but the rattles will likely be regifted at future baby showers. And I’m not normally one to complain. Part of the fun with these boxes is the fun and randomness. But I think Stork Stack really missed the mark this month. From what I have seen posted online by others, pretty much all of the “toys” in all box versions are for wee little ones and not the actual age range that Stork Stack markets to. We will be strongly rethinking our subscription. December is not a good month for a bad box : (

Boo! I hope January is amazing for you!

I’m so over Stork Stack. We got the same box as you (orange instead of green ball). We already have this exact ball – and you’re right, it was from a previous box. If I hadn’t already paid for a long subscription I would cancel. I agree about the lovie – they clearly don’t do any curation for these boxes. My son would squeeze all the juice out, too.

I can’t wait till my subscription ends (after February), so I’m not so full of disappointment when I open the box. Hopefully your other readers will see there are other much better subs for their kids out there.

My son had a juice box this morning and I turned around for two seconds and he had the entire thing squeezed out on the floor.

What box are you thinking of trying next? I really liked Austin Lloyd!

My 18mo got the same box. I’m thinking of canceling mine. Soo not happy with this box. Gotta look into new boxes. My aunt gets him citrus lane. We never have a miss with them!

        Try Googaro or Austin Lloyd!

  4. Amber

I signed up for Austin Lloyd after seeing your review, so hopefully I’ll get my first box by Christmas! I’m also doing Googaroo, thanks to you 😉

I ordered using the Black Friday 40% coupon (made the box $16.79). My daughter is almost 28 months old and we receive a Melissa and Doug Kazoo (which says 3+ so not out of the age range), a Cloud B Hand puppet with Hot and Cold pack (it’s a Giraffe), the sensory ball, pretzel crisps, and hand/feet wipes (even though it says we were getting the Honest Kids). I guess we lucked out based of the complaints I have seen from people. Overall this was nice for her (definitely worth the amount I paid), although I would have loved another book (she would too).

    1. Jennifer

Thats a good box! I would have been quite happy with that I think!
