The folks over were Bike Loot are kind enough to send me over the September box to review. Although neither B or I are serious cyclists (we go for bike rides with the kids and that’s about it), we totally enjoy this box because it’s got great workout goods!

In case you aren’t familiar, Bike Loot is a sort of new monthly subscription service that offers you a box containing 5 to 7 top-quality, pro-level cycling product samples delivered straight to your door.

The Box

Bike Loot ships via USPS First Class mail and like with all other USPS items, it arrived very quickly.  I know sometimes this all seems super repetitive from month-to-month and it is, it totally is.   But my goal is that if this is the first time you have ever heard of Bike Loot to tell you know all the information about it I can!

First Look

I think you know what I thought about the first look!!  I couldn’t have been more excited to see that Rip Van Wafel in there! I knew right away this was going to be my most favorite Bike Loot box yet!

September Bike Loot
The Information Card

The Bike Loot information card has product information, coupon codes and also notes on how the Loot Dudes use each of them.  Here’s what was included in the September Bike Loot box:

~Elete Electrolytes: Elete Electrolytes are added to water or another beverage and to stay hydrated, keep muscles working in tip-top condition, and recover quickly following exertion.  They can be used not just by athletes, but also by workers who are exposed to hot environments and/or physically demanding conditions.

~Rip Van Wafels:  The Loot Dudes suggest having these before a morning ride.  I suggest having them over a cup of coffee while reading a book ;).  Either one works and I am guessing however you eat them, you will love them!!!

~Boabab Drink Mixes: Baobab Drink Mix is the perfect combination of 100% organic dried baobab fruit pulp and energy-enhancing vitamins B6 and B12.  And yeah, I had to GTS.  I had no idea what a baobab was!  If you don’t feel like clicking, it’s a dry fleshy fruit with a hard shell that grows on trees.

~Chocolate Agave #9: Chocolate #9 is an energy gel that is sweetened only with organic agave.  It contains no refined sugars and isn’t “candy” like some of the other energy gels out there!  I am packing this for B’s race tomorrow (he’s running the Iron Warrior Dash) because, umm, he’s going to need it!

~Win Sports Detergent: I had no idea there was such a thing as a sports detergent! I’ve never really looked either, but still.  This is totally totally perfect right now because tomorrow B is going to bring me a ball of wet clothes home from his race and they are going to be so full of stink and sweat.   I’m actually looking forward to doing laundry now (just that one load though).

~Perky Jerky: You guessed it, this is headed off with B in the morning!  He’ll probably eat it on the way home and will certainly wish that the package was bigger.  B is not a snack sized beef jerky kind of guy ;).

Don’t be scared off by the “Bike” portion of Bike Loot. While yes, it’s designed for cyclists in mind, as you can see, it’s great for all types of athletes!

Win detergent is terrific. It works wonders on dog smells, too. I’ve used it on dog beds, and it works better than anything else I’ve tried.
