Good Day Dog is a brand new monthly subscription service which sends cute dog collars for equally cute dogs and their loving owners. It’s $15/month and offers collars that are only available to Good Day Dog subscribers.  I’d heard about this one and thought it sounded neat (the furries just don’t get treated as much as they use too), so I was happy when they reached out and asked me to do a review.

The Package

Good Day Dog ships via USPS in a padded envelope.   I was excited to see it on my porch because I wanted to see what collar they picked for Baxter!  Baxter appreciates fashion more than Buddy, so I thought he’d be a better choice.  Seriously, when I get a sweater out for him and he sees it, his tail wags and wags.  He loves it.

The Information Card

Good Day Dog doesn’t have a true information card, more like a welcome note.  I should also mention that sizing options are S (8-11 inches), M (12-15 inches) and L (16-20 inches).  Baxter weighs about 11lbs and opted for a small.

The Collar: Baxter received what I would describe as a nature themed collar and sure enough, he made me put it on him right away.  It’s a very well made collar and is much nicer than Baxter’s current one (which I have trouble getting on and off) so I switched his tags to the new one this afternoon.

The Collar

I was hoping to get a picture of Baxter sporting his collar, but quickly realized that he is at his peak fluffiness level and yeah, you can’t even see that he’s wearing it.  But trust me, he is and he loves it.

The Dog

What do you think of Good Day Dog?  What kind of collar do your dogs wear right now?  And how often do you switch them up? I don’t mix them up as much as I used too, so I think this service is a great idea!  My dogs are the same size so I could totally get into the idea of getting one subscription and giving each of them a new collar every other month. We use a “non-slip” collar like this one: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2751399

Our puppy came with one of those collars from the breeder and we liked it so much we bought another one last week when we realized it had gotten too small to slip over his fat head, haha. It slips on and off (there’s no buckle) and it’s loose unless the dog is on a leash and pulling and then it tightens. It’s worked really well for training him how to walk; he’s already way stronger than me at 5 months, I shudder to think of how strong he’ll be when he’s full grown.

He’s 10 weeks and 16 weeks there. He’s 20 weeks now and much, much bigger!

Baxter is adorable! Cute collar but I’m not sure I want someone else picking mine out for me. Junie B (my maltipoo) likes pink and girly 😉 I’ll be sure to stop by their site 🙂
