Thursday Thoughts

~Happy 4th of July!!! Even though I know not many people will link up today because they are off celebrating the holiday, I still wanted to do a post for those who wanted to read / link-up! And if you haven’t went off to celebrate yet, what are your plans for the day? Anything exciting? Are you headed out of town?

~I don’t think I mentioned it on here, but I sent off my old iPhone (I had an iPhone 4) to NextWorth to see how their process worked.  My quote was $163 ($136, plus an additional 20% for the “BONUS20” coupon code for Apple products which expires tomorrow), which I accepted and mailed my phone in using the prepaid UPS label.  I got the quote on 6/24, sent it off on 6/25, got the inspection notice on 7/1 (all was well) and was paid, via PayPal on 7/2/13!  I will totally be using them again!!!

~We are up-north and L is loving every second of it. He’s a total up-north kid and can spend hours playing in the water and jet-skiing and tubing. He totally loves it all. WB isn’t as excited about, but he still enjoys it. I think he wishes he could do all the big kid stuff too!

Tubing!

~B and I are finished with the 10-Day Cleanse portion of the AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge and are down 9lbs (me) and 7lbs (him)! Those are actually from Day 9 because we were away from scales after that, but yay us! We took the kids to get ice-cream yesterday and didn’t even get any for ourselves. We’re doing the Meal Replacement shakes for breakfast although I did get some meal replacement bars as well because I sometimes feel like I am “more full” or that my meal is complete if I chew something. Does that sound crazy?

~Still no word from thredUP, but Elizabeth over at Trenches of Mommyhood did a little experiment and sent similar bags to both thredUP and Moxie Jean. thredUP sent $19.11 and Moxie Jean sent a whopping $63 and was much faster in processing her items! I requested a bag for Moxie Jeans yesterday and will do a full report on this too!

~My June Tyler Florence Fancy Box got delivered yesterday (and got to me today) and I should have that review up later today.  I am waiting on the June Coco Rocha Fancy Box which is coming tomorrow, the June Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box and the July Stork Stack which is in-transit.  Bonjour Jolie (don’t forget they are offering 20% off 3-month subscriptions today) and maybe Lip Factory should be on their way in the next day or so as well!  Ohhh, and the July PopSugar box has shipped (you can track it by reference using your order / subscription number) and should be here early next week!  EEEK!  Fingers crossed for some spoilers tomorrow??

~And finally, if you earned Stella & Dot Dot Dollars in June, don’t forget to spend them!  You have till July 11th at 11:59PM PST and if you don’t feel like anything, consider getting a few Christmas gifts out of the way!  I totally recommend the Renegade Cluster and Rhea Bangles.  I don’t think you can go wrong with those!

That’s it from here.  We’ve got a parade to get to (they throw candy and L is all over that) and B’s got a 10K to run!  What’s on your mind today?  Don’t forget to link-up below!

Spread the love

Wishing you all a fun 4th of July. How many races is Bryan up to now. I want to come and cheer him on at one so I need some dates. I thought Lucas was still up at the lake.
Have no plans for today but cleaning. Had the cook-out last nite with the family and our fireworks were last weekend. Have safe travels and a fun long weekend.

First I’ve heard of Moxie Jean. What a cute site! Easy to use and adorable pictures. ThredUp was hard for me to navigate and when I saw what they paid the people whose stuff I bought I did feel like it wasn’t enough. I might be a Moxie Jean customer now. I do like how ThredUp has adult stuff though.

Sounds like you and your family had a fun 4th! So did i. I actually made a cake from scratch yesterday and 2 pies! Haven’t done that in such a long time and they came out wonderful. They were all the rave at the get together along with other dishes i made from scratch! So excited to hopefully get my Ipsy bag very soon and looking foward to lip factory. Love, love, love them! Looking for a fun family mini vacay before school starts back here. It was the water park but since one of my sons broke his wrist last week skating at a birthday party ( he is much better now) the waterpark is out. On the hunt for something fun!

Any word from Thred Up? I have 2 full stuffed bags, 25 items each so 50 total. I’d say 45 of them are new with tags. They are anywhere from The Limited to Seven Jeans.

Do you know of any other adult online resale services? I’d hate to get less than $100 for all my stuff through Thred Up.

    That would be awesome.

I did a quick google search and came across the usual Plato’s Closet and Clothes Mentor. I might check out Clothes Mentor since they have a location close to me.
