The Box

Supplet ships via UPS and arrived in just a few days. Does anyone else use the UPS My Choice feature? You sign up (for free) and it notifies you when a package is coming to your house. And then you get e-mails with delivery updates, estimated arrival time, etc. It’s petty cool.

First Look

Before I go any further with this review, I should mention that I am NOT pregnant. But it seems like everyone else is and what mom-to-be doesn’t want a gift of her own? Everyone brings presents for the baby-to-be. How about something for the mom??

~Organic Preggie Drops ($4.99): Can someone please tell me if these worked for them? I was sick daily up until, gosh, past 20 weeks(*) with WB and I considered these many times.  However, whenever I saw them at the store I felt fine and was sure that my morning sickness was ending soon.  Ha!  That joke was on me wasn’t it.

~Yogi Woman’s Raspberry Leaf ($4.99): Seriously why don’t I like tea? I like the sound of curling up with a cup of tea and a book, but actually drinking the tea? Yeah that won’t happen. B does like tea, but drinking Woman’s Tea is too much even for him, so I plan to give it to my cousin who LOVES tea!

~erba Organics Masage Oil & Sunscreen Samples ($12): I’ve never heard about this brand, but it’s certified USDA organic and smells quite good.  Not too strong, but it does have a scent.  I

~bumpboosters Pregnancy Cookie ($2.49): I love the idea of a pregnancy cookie.  I mean it’s a cookie, but not only is it delicious, it’s nutritious.  If I am ever pregnant again, I am getting these.  I know B wouldn’t eat pregnancy cookies and they’d make me feel less guilty about eating cookies because they are good for you too!

~The Other Baby Book ($11.69):  It’s possible that this is going to be a little out there in some areas for me, but I do appreciate reading about different viewpoints so I am going to browse through this before passing it along to a friend.  I have a few parenting books, but I never really find myself like grabbing for them when I have a question or wonder what to do.  I just do what I think is best for us.  And what’s best for us may not be what’s right / best for anyone else or what any book says is right / best.  At the end of the day, you just gotta do what works for your family!

~NewTree Quinoa Flax ($2.49): Mmm, these look yummy!  Who doesn’t appreciate chocolate?  I know I do!

All totaled I came up with a value of $38.65, which is just shy of the $39.99 cost of the box.  However, I didn’t include the values of any of the samples in the box and use online prices, which may or may not include shipping!  I don’t know that I would beed a box every month, but I know if I was 8 months pregnant I would be THRILLED to receive a pregnancy box as a gift from a friend or my husband!

(*) I recall being sick at my “big” ultrasound.  Thanks again for that WB.  Your brother never made me sick.  Not once!

Supplet.com is now shipping out PSI bands to pregnant moms in their first trimester. PSI bands help with morning sickness and many may like them more than Preggie drops. http://www.psibands.com/

Preggie drops work for some people. The idea is usually that sour tastes help with nausea. I found that sour patch kids worked just as well and cost a lot cheaper.

I used the Preggie Pop Drops. They did work, BUT the taste of them made me more sick to my stomach!! When I got over the Initial taste, they worked (but not as good as my zofran!) 🙂
