June Goodies Co. Box

My June Goodies Co. box arrived yesterday, which was too days too late. Had it arrived on Saturday, I could have enjoyed these delicious treats, but now that the Challenge has started? Not happening. I considered doing a little giveaway, but I spaced when I opened the box and fed WB the pouch from it after I took pictures. Sorry ;(

The Box

Goodies Co. ships with FedEx Smart Post, so it’s no surprise it didn’t come sooner. I always wonder though, how on earth Goodies can ship so cheaply. It’s amazing.  It’s certainly something smaller companies (Goodies Co. is a WalMart Labs company) wouldn’t be able to do.

First Look

I kind of dreaded opening the box because I didn’t want to see like a giant bag of pretzel m&m’s in there or anything.  But while I saw a few snacky things that looked good, they didn’t want to make me gnaw my arm off either.

The non-information information card

Sadly, Goodies still has no information card ;(.  They got rid of it a few months ago and now direct you to their website to find out this information.  The June Goodies Co. Tasters Box tasty included a selection inspired by flavors from across the globe.  Here’s what we received:

Pringles Stix Cheese: These are the snacks in the box that I most wanted to try. I had no idea such a product even existed and I totally would have bought them if I did!  I am going to give these to L in a muffin tin meal because I know he’ll enjoy them!

STAX Que Rico – Adobadas Chips: Goodies Co. says these are best sellers south of the border and aren’t available in the U.S.  Actually it says they are a Taster’s Box exclusive, which led me to believe you couldn’t get them here?  However, The Junk Food guy has tried them and it looks like he just walked into WalMart and picked them up, so who knows?  Either way, these look good, but I won’t break!  Next time someone comes over they are leaving with chips.  People rarely leave here empty handed 😉

Duchy Originals – Highland Shortbread: WB and L sampled these for me and they both enjoyed them.  L said they were yummy and WB didn’t throw it on the floor, so I know he liked it too.  And they did smell really good!

Smooch Snacks – Apple, Raspberry, Peach, Chia & Acerola: I have never heard of Smooch Snacks before, but WB loved this.  He is still addicted to pouches (it may be because he’s only got two teeth or because I let him control the pouches, but he loves them) and sucked this right now.  I need to find out where I can buy more of these around here!

He loved it

Dream Water NightTEA Night: B likes Dream Water and will totally use this.  I’d never buy Dream Water on its own, but it doesn’t go to waste when it’s here!

Gimme Health – Cheddar Cheese Seaweed Crumbles: OMG, three boxes had seaweed this month.  Is seaweed the new tea?  Say it isn’t so.  I thought *maybe* I was giving seaweed such a hard time because I didn’t like it, so I fed it to the kids.  WB has no idea what things are when I give them to him and he’ll put anything in his mouth.  L, well, he’s a little smart than that and took one look and was like NO WAY.  He knew what it was and was like come on mama.  But I told him to try it because it was cheese flavored and it would be good.  They both hated.  WB spit it out and L acted like he was being poisoned. It’s fair to say we won’t be buying seaweed in bulk here anytime soon ;).

He’ll share. L was over the seaweed before I could even snap a picture.

Even thought I didn’t eat any of it, I loved this month’s Goodies Co.  I always do!  If you don’t get Goodies Co., you should totally consider it.  It’s $7/month and and includes “5-8 delicious new foods hand-picked and delivered directly to your doorstep”.   All this for $7? Yes please!

Did you get a Goodies box this month?  What’d you think?  What box number did you get and what was inside.  If you are interested in signing up or just want to learn more, clickhere.  And use the code “SKIPTHELINE6” to bypass the waiting list!

I got what you did except my seaweed was Dijon flavor. Not terrible but ehhh still skeeved out by it. We were disappointed as to how unhealthy it was. Both the Pringles sticks and the chips have MSG 🙁

  2. Mikkii

WHY!? Why do these boxes insist on giving me roasted seaweed? I don’t care what flavor it is, it’s gross!!! But, I did manage to get the kiddos to try this too but crunching it up inside of a flour tortilla cheese roll. They ate all of it, so I’m guessing they just couldn’t tell it was in there. LoL…I’m sneaky like that. We have the pringles stix at our kroger, but we never buy them without a coupon because the bag is sort of small and my kiddos can finish it in one sitting and they are VERY expensive. I was pleased with the goodies box overall though…for $7 I think it’s a great deal. I’m glad I saw it on your site and ordered it 🙂

I think I got box number 3. It was the same, but the pouch in mine was mango. I was so excited for the Pringles Stix, but they taste more like a cracker than a Pringle. They were okay, but not what I was expecting. And those Lay’s chips tasted like a popchip which I was totally not expecting.

My daughter was the opposite. She attempted the pouch twice (she’d trade the cat for a GoGo Squeez), but I think the chia was too much for her. She loved the seaweed. The cookies were awesome, and reminded me of tea time when I was in Scotland.

I hadn’t heard of the Smooch pouch either – it was really tasty! I googled it and it seems like you can only get them on Amazon (and they were kinda pricey).

At least the seaweed makes for hilarious children stories. Don’t blame either one. I think seaweed is as close to poison as food can get!

Ok, I LOVE roasted seaweed…but cheddar flavored seaweed is too much. I would never have even opened the bag…straight to the dog.

  8. Shauna

The chick over at my subscription addiction has a code for a free box up today. I got one ^^.

  9. Teri

I got pasta chips instead of the pouch. I thought all boxes were the same..guess not! The Lays chips were pretty good btw 🙂

I can’t wait to get my first goodies box

  11. Alison

It says it’ll start me in July

  12. Amanda

Nice box I get my first box next mouth 🙂

My first Goodies box (thanks to my favorite subscription box enabler Jen) .

How do you tell what box number you get? Mine did not have the Smooch, instead it included Pastitas Pasta Chips (mine were the Black Pepper Onion flavor). I also got the Honey Dijon seaweed which, I have a feeling, I couldn’t pay my husband to try (we’ve never had luck with them or the kale chips). Looking forward to trying everything else though!

I got a six month subscription to Goodies for my Dad for Fathers Day which doesn’t start until July. I think he would have enjoyed this box too.

My seaweed was Dijon flavored. I am one of those that likes seaweed. The pouch was a combo of strawberry, blueberry and banana. I will give this to my 8 year old for snack tomorrow. Yes….we are still in school til Friday.

  15. mary m

I got the pasta chips instead of the pouch, but I think the pouch would be betteR? Haven’t tried the chips yet, so I guess I can’t knock them 😉

  16. Adrienne

The Pringles sticks are to die for! You have no idea what you are missing! Just sayin…

  17. Jacqueline

The butter cookies are sooooooo good

  18. Aimee A

Got the same box as you. Loved the Pringles sticks… Like you saw on FB, the seaweed made me vomit. Literally. Puking while trying to wipe all the crap out of my mouth with a napkin…. Not a good experience! It was all like stuck in my teeth.. Eww lol

  19. Chrissy

I thought it was really cool how all the items were from different places. The pringel’s stix’s were from Indonisia, the seaweed is from Korea, the lay’s chips were from Mexico, the cookie was from the UK, and the smooch pouch was from Spain. Very neat!

  20. Lauren M.

I got them Dream Water in some other box, I don’t remember? Maybe conscience box? I don’t remember! Anyhow, maybe it was a mind thing, but I totally think it worked!

  21. Lisa

I am so bummed I got the pasta chips instead of the Smooch pouch. But — the Smooch pouches are on sale on the Goodies site (25% off a pack of six) and free shipping there too, so I just ordered some!
