Wantable
July Wantable Box

My mailbox had a few goodies in it today, but I tore into the July Wantable box first.  In case y you don’t know about Wantable, they are a monthly cosmetics subscription box and offer 4-6 full-size products, hand-picked from unique, specialty, and premium brands to perfectly fit your style.  Boxes start at $36 and are valued at between $80-$100 each month!

The Box

I saw this white box in my mailbox and didn’t know at first what it was.  I am used to the old purple Wantable boxes, but I love this one more.  Plain and simple and I like it.

The Goodies

Wantable doesn’t give me a good first peek because the items are nicely wrapped in tissue paper – like a present!  I was excited to see what they picked for me!  Wantable has you complete a questionnaire when you subscribe and you tell them what you like.  Hate eyeliner and lip gloss?  You’ll never get it in your box.  They send you more of your “love it” items than your “like it” items, and will also match your color preferences.  And at the end of all that,  if you still don’t like it, you can send it back for a FULL REFUND.  No questions asked.  They want you to love it!!

The Card

The July Wantable box is all about nails, nails, nails!  They are featuring polishes from Rainbow Honey and Michael Marcus and have added trendy colored shadows, bronzers and blushes from up and coming Brazen Cosmetics.  Also, they have expanded their lines from brands such as Lise Watier, Susan Posnick, and FACE Stockholm!  Here’s what was selected for me this month:

~Rainbow Honey Custom Blended Nail Laquer (The Karken) ($10):  Eeek!  I LOVE this!  I put that I loved nail polish and bright colors and this is perfect!  While I don’t technically “need” any more nail polish, I was certainly not going to let that stop me from hoping for some in my box!

~Lise Watier Ombre Souffle Supreme (Sunrise Peach) ($23): It’s quite possible that this is the fanciest product I have ever received in a subscription box.  The container? It’s glass.  Not plastic.  Glass.  Love!!  You can apply this with your fingers or the applicator and it gives your lids a cool shimmery looks. The only bad thing is that I now want these in every color.

~Brazen Organic Mineral Blush (Frenzy) ($17.99): This is a loose blush (I loved loose blushes in my Wantable profile) and the color is perfect.  Not too crazy, not too pale.  Just right.  Ohh, and I was reading the packaging on this and I discovered that Brazen is a Michigan company!  I love them even more now!

~Frownies Eye Gels (1 Set) ($9): I’ve never tried Frownies, but I’ve always wanted to. I’m not getting any younger over here and could totally use some help.  I am going to save this for a I’m Totally Trying It Edition thought since it’s not use a one time use kinda of thing.

~29 Cosmetics D’Vine Mascara (Devine Brown) ($26): I love 29 Cosmetics and I LOVE mascara so this was also a perfect match for me! I have tried this exact mascara before and I loved it.  I never really thought I was a brown mascara girl, but it works.

~Brazen Organic Mineral Brow Powder (Jane) ($17.99): I put in my profile that I liked brow powder, but that’s because I was curious to see what it actually did.  My brows are a complete and total disaster right now so there is no way I am trying this until they are fixed.  I do not need to draw any addition to them right now ;).

All totaled, my July Wantable box had a value of $103.98!  That’s what, two and a half times what the box costs?  Amazing!  And I don’t know if I have mentioned it before, but Wantable is in Wisconsin.  Milwaukee to be exact.  Little to do they know that the next time we go to Wisconsin to see B’s family (he’s from there), I am coming to visit them since we pass right through Milwaukee!!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If not, what are you waiting for?  Seriously, you have nothing to lose because if you hate it (which is doubtful), you can return!!  Click here to subscribe or learn more.

Ooh. This is good stuff! Lets see a pic of how the souffl? stuff looks when you wear it! I love the brazen packaging with their wax stamp!

You can never have too much polish!!!! Looks like a great box.

  3. Shana

That review has made me decided to opt in for this one

  4. Krystal

That was an awesome box!! I loved everything in there! Now I want one. You’re killin me! Lol!!

I love Wantable!! I skipped this month, but last month in addition to a ton of other stuff I got two Rainbow Honeys (Hoof Wrassle and Pinkie Promise.) I love RH, definitely one of my favorite indie lines, so I was thrilled. I also got those eye gel things and they felt amaaaaaaaazing.

  6. Tasha

I got that mascara in my May box! I never thought I would like brown mascara either but that one is so perfect! I’m so in love with it and it smells amazing. Makes me want to un-skip so I can get me some makeup. But I have to wait till I get more money first.

After Birchbox’s oh so rude gesture of sending me multiple aging products (when i did not include aging on my profile,) it may not be staying long. Also, while I love Julep, I don’t know what I’m going to do with all that polish because I can’t wear certain colors for work or any polish at all for some classes (food prep.) I also am just not sure if I’m going to love ipsy either. What I’m getting at is I think I’m looking for one Holy Grail box, and I like this one. A lot. So now I’m all hmmmmm again. Maybe for Fall?

I just love the wax seal on Bespoke’s packaging. What a cute way to make generic stuff your own without labels!

    Cheers,
    Shauna

@Shauna: Sorry! Not Bespoke; Brazen. Brazen’s wax seals are cute!

Darn it! I skipped this one! Much better than last month!

Well, I thought about cancelling Wantable.. until now! My God I love everything you got.

Thank you so much for always posting such awesome reviews!! I’ve been trying to find the best beauty box, and I’m currently subscribed to Ipsy, which I love, but I’ve been trying others monthly to compare. I’ve never heard of this one before, so I’ll definitely have to try it out next, it sounds awesome! Which is your favorite beauty box?

  11. Brooke

I didn’t know Wantable was from Wisconsin! That’s cool to have a really awesome box from my home state!

  12. Shana

OK Jennifer, I received my first Wantable box and i value your opinion because reading your reviews have helped me branch out and try other boxes. I love lip factory, feel like it is worth my money, and I like julep eventhough I have more than enough nail polish. I just got my first Wantable box and I was definately disappointed in the size of the products for the 36.00 price. Does it get better with this company? Cause right now I am ready to cancel after one box. They are a bit pricey compared to the others for such super small pieces…. I must say their customer service was awesome when i was signing up for my box.

  13. Stacy

This box sounds awesome! I just signed up!! Thanks for the great review!!

I got my first box last month. It’s a little more then I usually spend, but loved the stuff they sent so I’m hooked! It’s nice to let them know what you don’t like so it’s never in your box. 🙂

  15. Esmeralda

Has anyone tried the jewelry box? I want to try it

  16. lilah

I got my first Wantable jewelry box yesterday. I received two pairs of earrings and two necklaces. All wearable and cute, and exactly what I asked for. I’m not sure if I would have spent the $36 on those pieces. I’ll try another month then decide.
