May Barkbox

The furries made me skip ahead and review their May Barkbox (which arrived today) before a bunch of the other boxes in the backlog. Those furries are making me break the rules!!

Barkbox
The Box

Barkbox ships via USPS and frankly, I can’t even tell you how fast it arrived because I didn’t track it.  I am assuming it was fast though since I think the e-mail about it arrived on Friday and the box arrived today?

First Look

I can’t remember what (if any) packaging material Barkbox used to use, but I know this paper is new and I LOVE it!!!!

Barkbox
The Information Card

This month’s Barkbox is a celebration of all the things we love about being outside.  Whether it’s picking fresh fruit, dusting off the barbecue, taking the opportunity to eat lunch in the sun, Barkbox knows that your pup is just as excited as you are!  Here is what the box included:

~Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Produce (raspberry) ($6.95):  I guessed right away this was a raspberry, so did L!  I am thinking about taking this up-north for the dogs (okay, just Buddy) to try and find in the water.  That should be entertaining.  And this really does smell minty.  You have to get up close to it to smell it, but it does ;).

~Barkworthies Chews ($6): The boys always love these and today was no exception.  They split the Natural Treat Stick and since WB handed out them to eat of the dogs, there as no fighting.  I guess they want to set a good example for WB by not fighting over the same treat?  Who knows?

~Loving Pets Grill-icious All-Natural Beef Treats ($7.99): Baxter and Buddy are going to love these.  They do get excited when B grills, so now they will have their own treats!  Perfect!  And the packaging on this would have sold in a second if I saw it at, oh, say Target.  It’s adorable!

~Bocce’s Bakery Green Juice Biscuits ($9.50): Green Juice dog treats huh?  What will they think of next?  Wait, they already did think of it – Truffle Mac & Cheese biscuits!  I can’t wait to see if Baxter and Buddy are into juicing!

All totaled, the May Barkbox has a value of $30.44.  As always, it was more than the monthly cost of the box (which again is $18/month if you subscribe for 6 months or more).

Umm, look at the difference between the furries in last month’s picture and this month’s. It’s amazing what a haircut can do!  Do you subscribe to Barkbox?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  And if you want to subscribe or learn more, click here.  Oh and did I mention you can use the code “RAMBLING10″ to save $10?

They used to use that crinkly shredded paper, but I’m loving the new tissue paper.

Loved this box more than the last! The fur babies got a “bumper” toy made from recycled firehoses, Fruitables treats, the kale treats, disinfectant spray, and one other thing I can’t think of…

My little princess, Bella, is extremely picky with her treats, so she hated the green ones. She loves the blueberry pumpkin fruitables, though. Our little man, Duke, is a 14-week-old lab puppy, so he’ll gobble down anything. Kale treats it is!

HAHAHA, love the doggie picture! 😀 I’m excited to see what our large dog box is going to be.

As usual my Muggles LOVED his bark box. He has always been so picky about treats till we started getting the barkbox. They have yet to send him a treat he doesn’t LOVE! That raspberry is so cute! We received the strawberry. It really did smell like mint!! I thought that was cool. I stuck a treat in it and Muggles loved it! Also, whatever rubber those things are made out of ROCK because Muggles has yet to tear it up. YAY!

Our Barkbox should be here today, so when I get home from work there will be much joy in my house. My monsters will be so happy!

Well, the produce ball was a huge hit, it is a ball after all. They weren’t sure about the minty smell, but they got over it because it is after all a ball.

The Grillicious treats they absolutely hated. Bella (the Shih Tzu) finally ate one, just so Gidget (the Yorkie) couldn’t get it. Gidget didn’t even want it, she just walked near Bella.

I haven’t tried the little green ones yet.

The Bark-worthy bones are GONE. I mean GONE as in I have no idea if they are stashed somewhere or if the girls gobbled them down. I saw Bella chewing one of them with gusto and that is the last time I saw either of them! Gidget stashes them all the time to hide them from Bella. She is such a stinker!

Did you think this box was a little skimpy? It seemed like a lot less than last month.

    Lori 🙂
