Spring 2013 Elizabeth & Clarke Review

Spring Elizabeth & Clarke Box

I received the Spring Elizabeth & Clarke box in the mail this week and I couldn’t wait to check it out. In case you don’t know, Elizabeth & Clarke is a seasonal subscription box which brings designer-quality blouses and tees to your door each season.

The Box

I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleased to see a nice sized box. And it was cute to boot.

First Look

I received 3 shirts from the Spring Collection, selected for me by Elizabeth & Clarke, so I was anxious to see what would be inside!  The cost is $30 for one shirt, $50 for two shirts ($25/each) and $60 for three shirts ($20/each).

The Note

Elizabeth & Clarke doesn’t really come with an information card.  Instead, it’s more of a note that lets you know what’s in the box and also guides you to their blog for style ideas. Here’s what came in my box:

~Cool White Racerback Tee: I love this.  It came a little wrinkled and I considered ironing it (aka having B iron it for me), but Melanie (one of the Co-Founders) was all just throw it in the dryer for a few minutes.  Duh. Why didn’t I think of that???

In addition to my pictures, I am also attaching an Elizabeth & Clarke style idea for each item in the box so you can get an idea of what you can do with the pieces. They did not ask me to do this, but I felt like it would be helpful to see some good ideas!

LOVE this look

~Silky Off-White Long Sleeved Blouse:  This shirt is SO silky and soft.  Even B commented on it.  And that’s saying a lot.  I clearly didn’t iron or do anything with this blouse.  I don’t want to fancy up my pictures or start steaming items or anything crazy because I want you to see what your box will look like when YOU get it.  You cannot fold and ship a shirt without it wrinkling. You just can’t!

Now, because I am boring, I would wear this shirt with a black suit to the office or something.  But this is way more fun and cuter than anything I ever would have thought of.

Way cuter than what I would have done.

~White Blouse with Delicate Chiffon Pleats:  This is something I never would have bought on my own at the store, but I think it’s my favorite piece in the box.   It’s seriously beautiful.

I personally would pair this with black leggings, so I feel like I am pretty in sync with the Elizabeth & Clark idea here.  I am not sure if you can really tell, but the back of this shirt is longer than the front, which I also love.

She looks cooler than I will when I wear this 😉

Since the shirts are Elizabeth & Clarke branded, I cannot go online and do a price comparison for you.  But I can tell you it’d be beyond hard to get the quality you are getting here for $60.  And I also love that if you are not 100% happy, return shipping is free.  So if you don’t love it, you aren’t stuck with it you know?

Did you get an Elizabeth & Clarke Spring Box?  What’d you think?  If not, what’s your favorite piece that I received?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here.

Disclosure: I was provided with this box for review purposes.  As always, all opinions are my own!  My compensation was received.

Had never heard of this company, but what gorgeous shirts! And too funny that you never thought of throwing a shirt in the dryer to remove wrinkles, as that’s how I iron!

Interesting! At first I thought the pieces were kind of boring.. but then read their blog and realized they specialized in staple pieces. If their quality is anything like Everlane’s then sign me up!
