January Loot Crate

I received a January Loot Crate in the mail today and I was SO excited to dig into it.  I am seriously like a kid on Christmas morning when I get a new box to review.

The Box

In case you don’t know, Loot Crate delivers epic geek and gamer swag monthly.  It’s $13.37/month (+6 shipping) and each month they randomly choose one subscriber to win a “Mega Crate” worth $250! I don’t believe there is any other crate / subscription box like them on the market and I love that!  And I kinda want to subscribe so that I can try and win the Mega Crate ;).

I totally didn’t know what to expect when I unwrapped the tissue, but I was totally thrilled when I opened it up!  And I have to admit, I cracked up when I read Loot Crate‘s 2013 resolution “Life is Short.  Geek out more.”  Own it Loot Crate!!

The Information Card

I was very thankful for the information card, because I wasn’t 100% sure what everything was for.  I am totally out of my element reviewing this, so this helped beyond belief!

~Marvel Workmans Carry All ($14.99): Loot Crate, you made my son’s day!  Every time we get a package he hopes there is something for him in it.  And today, there was.  To tell you the truth, I probably would have bought this for L had I run across it in the store.  It’s that cool.  And you don’t need to be 4 to enjoy it, I could totally see it as a fun addition to your geeky gamer room!

~Translucent 7 Dice RPG Set ($5.50): I totally had to consult the card on this one.  And I cracked up when I read that the Loot Crate team uses them to make decisions around the office!  We may need to try that around the house.  Either that or take up Dungeons & Dragons!

~8 Bit Zombie Power Pack ($10): I had to consult the card on the one as well.  I was a child of the 80’s, but wasn’t much of a gamer.  I am going to check with my brother to see if he remembers this stuff!  Either way, umm, L is all over zombies, so between this pack and the carry all, I am pretty much the coolest person ever (to L anyways)!

~Hello Panda Chocolate Deliciousness ($0.98): Umm, if this is what geeky gamers snack on when they are off doing geeky gamer stuff, I want in.  I love these.  I buy them every time I see them at Target and I love them.  And I hid these away so L won’t snag them before I get some!

Hello Panda Chocolate Deliciousness

All totaled I came up with a value of $31.47 for the January Loot Crate.  Pretty awesome considering the box is only $19.37/month, including shipping.  AND if you use the code “3OFF” you’ll save $3 off your first box!  Sweet!

Do you get Loot Crate?  What’d you think of this month’s box?  I was super impressed.  I can see more than just geeky gamers loving this box.  Heck, I mean L and I were pretty much in love!  If you want to learn more, or are interesting in ordering, click here.

Disclosure: I was provided with a complimentary Loot Crate from the fine folks over at Loot Crate in exchange for a review. As always, all opinions are my own. And L’s. No compensation was received.

I could see Dustin and Dillon loving Loot Crate. Brett was telling Dustin about how awesome Booty Bin looked. Reading your reviews makes me want to get everyone in the family monthly boxes LOL

Julep has the golden box! Every month, they randomly select a couple of people to receive the golden box which has all of the products from that month. I have yet to receive one but I’m hoping!!

I just got this for my son this month and will continue. He loves it and I thought that it was a good deal. I also get the beauty box 5 for my daughter and the nature box for husband (and the kids raid it all the time). So far we have been happy with them. They are definitely worth it. I also become supremo whenever I bring home there box from the mailbox.

I love loot crate as well. My son and I split the stuff in it every month! We also order a different one called Kiwi Crate. Kiwi sends crafts and activities every month. The kids love it and it gets them involved in crafts and we have a lot of fun doing it together. Plus they send EVERY thing you need for the crafts. Scissors, paper, those awesome big crayons for little kids, etc. It seems like a lot of the ‘crates’ are great ideas and well worth the money.
