November PopSugar Must Have Box

Every month I get SO excited for my PopSugar Must Have Box and even though I already know what’s inside (I cave and peek every month), I totally stalk my mailman looking for it. And if I feel like it’s not moving efficiently though FedEx / USPS (it travels through FedEx Smart Post) when I track it, I get all pissy and start whining about how I NEED my box.  Woe is me for sure.  Luckily PopSugar didn’t torture me this month and make me wait super long to get it.

This month’s box weighed 2.7lbs.  Once I find out the shipping weight I try to guess what’s inside.  It never works.

The Box

Now let’s get to the good part.  Here’s what was inside:

First Look

As usual, I won’t bore you with pictures of every single page of the information booklet.  With the exception of the first month (which I am going to just pretend never happened),  PopSugar has sent us various items from their “Must Have” categories.  I really like that idea because you end up with such a wide variety of things.

The Information Booklet

And now, the details:

Must Have Fashion:
gorjana Parker Leather Wrap ($55): I love this bracelet.  It looks sort of black in the picture, but it’s actually a redish / brown.  It’s not overly fancy.  Or overly casual.  It’s just right.  Seriously, I love this. It’s something I never would have bought myself, so I’m glad it was in here.

Must Have Beauty:
MOR Lip Macaron ($10): This might be the prettiest packaging ever for a lip gloss. I am for sure throwing this in my bag for use while out and about. It’s too pretty just to sit in my make-up bag (that doesn’t usually see the light of day). And the product itself doesn’t sound half bad either ;).

Must Have Home:
Snow & Graham Boxed Notecards ($15): I am totally big into Thank You notes, but honestly, at $16 for 6 cards, I would never buy these myself.  I almost feel like they are too good to use.  But I will force myself to use them in I have too.  Heck, I’d even write B a  hand-written Thank You card if he bought me those Gucci boots I am dreaming of.

Must Have Fitness:
Mandy Ingber: Yogalosophy DVD ($9.79): I am not overly excited about this.  I would never buy a Yoga DVD.  I could just use the free On Demand yoga videos?  But this is way more my speed than the workout DVD that they sent in the August box.  I’m going to make B try this with me.  Maybe there is something I am missing by only using the free videos?

Many Ingber: Yogalosophy DVD

Must Have Food:
Stonewall Kitchen Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut Mix ($9.95): I know some people were annoyed by this because they don’t have a doughnut pan.  But for some reason, I think I do have one.  Somewhere.  This will be a perfect project for L and I to do!

La Boîte Spices ($23.99):  This set included spice mixes (Reims N.39, Cancale N.11, and Yemen N.10), as well as, some recipes.  It’s very fancy pants and would make a great gift for someone who loves to cook.  If B didn’t read my blog and know I had this, I would totally wrap it up for him for Christmas.  Heck, I still might ;).

Must Have Extras:
Canvas Pop Gift Code ($30): At first I was super excited excited about this because I thought it would get me a free canvas.  But I looked at the website and realized that an 8×10 canvas costs $49 PLUS $14 in shipping.  Kinda spendy if you ask me.  Still, I will use this code, so I am including it in my value.  BUT, I do think this would have been 100x better if it were for a free canvas.

StyleMint Gift Code ($29.99): I’ve never used any of the “mint” websites and don’t know what they are all about, but I am excited to browse and spend this.  I will probably get the mystery box from StyleMint.  I mean why not?

StyleMint Gift Card

The verdict?  I am super pleased and think this was TOTALLY worth the $35 is cost.  I calculated this box to have a total value of $183.72.  Now, would I have spent $183.72 to buy all this stuff?  NO.  But I for sure would have paid $35 so I am happy!!  I would rank this box behind September (seriously nothing is going to top that), but ahead of August and October.  And July?  Well, I am just going to pretend that never happened.

If you haven’t subscribed yet, what are you waiting for?  Click here and just do it.  I believe if you sign up now, you can still get the December box!  Or you can gift it to someone who you think would love it.  Holiday shopping made easy!  And if you got the November box, what did you think?  I kinda think if don’t like the bracelet, you won’t really like the box?  I’d suggest giving it as a gift.  Everyone will be giving your kids teachers Bath & Body Works lotion sets and you’ll be giving out a gorjana bracelet?  Hello brownie points!!

Glad you liked it. I absolutely hated this box an have canceled my subscription. I’m literally trying to trade/gift every single item in this box. What a bummer. The only monthly box that I’ve LOVED is citrus Lane.

    1. Jennifer

Oh no that sucks!!! I hope you are able to find a home for it all. I love Citrus Lane too. But I know a lot of people have been complaining about that one lately too?

    2. Anastasia

You should try Yuzen box, they have amazing quality products and it’s always valued $60 and above 🙂

  2. Jill

I’m really excited about this box as well! The Gorjana bracelet is probably my favorite item. I’m also afraid to admit I have one of those donut makers at home so I wasn’t as disappointed about receiving the donut mix.

  3. Jules

This was my first box I was so disappointed with it. The bracelet doesn’t fit at all and my wrists are of average size. The doughnut mix is useless since I don’t have a pan for it and I was also a little surprised by the cost of the photos on the canvas site. The shipping is also $14. This was a major bummer and I wish I had gotten a good box like others got in previous months.

    1. Jennifer

I really don’t know why it costs $14 to ship a canvas! That is crazy!!!

If I didn’t have a doughnut pan, I would just made doughnut holes and cook them in muffin tins!

      1. Jules

Yes! I think that’s crazy for shipping. I ordered an 11×11 today from an Instagram pic and I think after the $30 certificate it came to about $23. I hope the quality is good on it.

Really great idea about making doughnut holes! I think that’s what I’ll do. Thanks!!

I went to Michael’s tonight and got jump rings for my bracelet and now it fits just fine. Crisis averted…haha!

I’m feeling better now about this month’s box 🙂

        1. Jenny

ok I need to go to Michaels and get some of the jump rings. If those will work then I’ll be a real happy camper. 🙂

    2. Chris

Most of the stuff in the box was great, I was super excited about the bracelet too, I’ve been wanting a wrap style myself, however it is only 19″ long so you’d have to have a super tiny wrist for it to wrap three times around and it’s way to big to only go twice around. I have an average size seven wrist. I had my teenage daughter try it on too and no go 🙁 I did contact gorjana and they told me all of their wrap bracelets are 19 ” so its not a mistake. I’M SUPER BUMMED!!!

I haven’t received my November box yet, but I have yet to be disappointed. Yes November is nothing like September, but for $35 a month, I get a box of presents all for me and all I paid was $35, seems like a win to me. And if there happens to be something in the box that I don’t like, it will make a great gift! There’s not much to be disappointed about with PopSugar, its my monthly Christmas present, lol!

    1. Jennifer

This is exactly how I feel! I don’t have huge expectations (like I don’t expect every month to be like September) and love the surprises!!

  5. Jamie

This month was my fist box… And I just knew it would not be as good as September… But I think I was still hoping ;).

I’m not disappointed, but I didn’t LOVE it. I am definitely keeping my subscription too.

I am surprised at the complainers about the doughnut mix. I’m just going to put mine in a mini muffin pan and I’m sure it will be fine!

The bracelet is to small to be wrapped 3x but I still love it and will probably add links.

The spices are pretty good and I’d never spend $23 on them to buy, so that’s cool.

Now, the real reason I am commenting is cuz I wanted to give you (and others) a heads up about the StyleMint code. Everyone has been having problems redeeming from what I’ve read online, and I’m no exception. I had to try for about an hour to get my code to work. Instead of following the link on the card (www.stylemint.com/redeem, which I tried first and it didn’t work for my code) I ended up going to the regular site link, creating an account, adding the mystery bag to my cart (that’s what I wanted to order too- post what you get I wanna compare!) and then applying my promo code when I checked out WITHOUT entering my cc info (did NOT work when I put my cc info in too)….. Anyway, if you get problems using keep trying because mine finally worked and now I can’t wait for my mystery box!

never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth
enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful
