Nursery Ideas Board

So I am slowly but surely but working the nursery. I am going to reuse L’s old Caden Lane bedding and I still have his old crib, dresser, glider, etc. But of course, this kid needs some new stuff too! I have been busy on Pinterest and Etsy searching for fun stuff to add to his room without going too crazy.  I have always loved pom-poms hanging from the ceiling in nurseries, so I ordered some to match the bedding from Etsy.   I found the prints and closet dividers on Etsy too!  All at very reasonable prices I may add.

And now comes the part that isn’t exactly frugal of me ;) .  Because I am “saving” money by not buying new bedding, I feel like splurging on wall letters is somewhat okay.  The Etsy seller will customize colors / patterns however you want them, so I am going to have her do them to match the bedding of course.  I don’t want to spend the new kid’s college fund on wall letters though, so that’s why I am hoping to fall in love with a short name (Al or Ed anyone??)!

And to add a little craftiness to the room, I decided to go ahead and make some “no sew” curtains (we are also going to get some blinds).  I was inspired by a friend who just did this for her nursery (she’s expecting twins) and claimed it was SUPER easy (she wouldn’t lie either).  So I am going to order some fabric and give it a go!  Sadly, I have to get fabric which matches the bedding exactly (hello, picky much?), so it looks like Caden Lane by the yard it is (as soon as a coupon code is located anyways).  Still I think it’s going to look awesome and I can’t wait to show everyone the end result (or see it myself).

Do you have any nursery ideas to share???  Have you ever made new sew curtains?  Any tips?  And I still need name help!!!!

Darn you…that wall letter lady makes hair bow holders…I’m screwed. LOVE etsy and everyhting you picked out. I also did some sort of etsy mobile in the form of a pom pom. LOVE IT…can’t wait for the end result!

The wall letters are my favorite. Do they use the alligator clips on the no-sew curtains. They work really well. Just saw Ryker and Riley for baby names in the paper. You second job could be home decorator/organizer as you always do great on any of your projects.
